Could someone tell me about the new Plan?

CAL has the Go Forward Plan.

Dave went to Harvard and is using the same playbook from his CAL days.
Not very impressed!

Maybe in Jan 05 you guys can have Gordon instead of this forward thinker!

PIT cannot sustain the economics of being a full blown airline hub, that is reality. PIT will be the next CVG, hundreds of RJ flights with few mainline flights to core cities.

My City is a transfer hub and has the most flights of any US Airways Hub and is now the #2 gateway city to the Caribbean.

Any advantage that PIT may have over CLT regarding O&D Traffic is nominal at best and easliy trashed by the operating costs of PIT in regards to boarding a passenger. You can thank your former elected officials and Ed Colodny for those facts being so.

The last issue is the daily costs of operating in adverse weather conditions ..or the threat there of 3 to 4 months out of 12. That green river of 50/50 mix ain't cheap..and PIT gobbles it up like rainwater.


Dell..don't let the facts get in the way of a good arguement , right? 😛 😀

CLT has a 3 to 1 cost advantage as a hub operation on the best of days....during the long PIT winters...the CLT cost advantage gets even better.

Lastly..your 40 minute seperation from "Waterloo" aka PHL does not play any advantage for PIT mainline security either. The other sad aspect is how both PIT and PHL are catering to the LCC invaision after Seigel and Crew has alienated this company with the powers that be in Pa.

Tying one on is not in the cards. My mother is in the hospital in CLT...and duty calls beyond that. So forgive me if I'm not in a festive mood..and eager to sit back and read and allow BS to become the order of the day.

Not wanting to accept facts , grasp facts and act upon facts is precisely why U is in the overall condition its in. This is not to say that people at our level in this house of cards are at fault...but to argue based on non-fact is pointless and wholly un-productive.

I was not seeking a fight with Dell...and Dells comments were an inaccurate response to 700UW...just as yours were to me.

again...I've hit my 'High-water mark" on FUD and stupidity in both my private time...and certainly from the professional side. Keep this in mind when you seek me out with arguementative twaddle masked in shallow jabs and cracks about the great North/South battle , that I for one do not happen to enjoy or even agree with.

My comments are based on every dollar spent granting the greatest yield possible..geography and biased opinion be damned. I'll stick with the facts of the matter...and I eagerly encourage and welcome you to join me in an alike mindset and approach to the real problems that happen to plague us all , regardless of location and individual circumstances
