TEMPE, Ariz., July 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- US Airways (NYSE: LCC),
affirming its number-one priority of safety, recently completed the
International Air Transport Association's (IATA) International Operational
Safety Audit registry, or IOSA with resounding success.

The IOSA is the benchmark for global safety management in air carriers.
The audit's scope included flight operations, operations control, maintenance,
inflight services, ground operations, cargo and security. Within each of those
areas, auditors determined conformance of US Airways' procedures to IOSA
standards and recommended practices contained in the IOSA Standards Manual.
The final results showed that US Airways conformed to every IOSA standard.
US Airways Vice President of Safety and Regulatory Compliance Paul Morell
said, "This successful completion represents the collaboration of many groups
within the airline, the FAA as well as a great IATA sanctioned auditing team."
Added US Airways Chairman and CEO Doug Parker, "We're immensely pleased by
the outstanding marks we received as a result of this audit. We could not have
done it without the determination, focus and heavy lifting that our
safety-conscious employees carry out every day, and on every flight. We look
forward to a continued listing on the IOSA Registry as a result of this audit
and will continue to make safety the number one priority in everything we do."
Successful completion of the audit results in a listing on the IOSA
Registry, which is a requirement for IATA membership and US Airways' continued
STAR Alliance membership. US Airways has been listed on the IOSA Registry
since 2004.

You can keep skimping on customer service, but you can't skimp on safety. Clearly US stays ahead of the game in that regard. Nice job, folks.

Or drafting checks to encourage the applicable parties to "overlook" certain irregularities, inconsistencies wouldn't be OUT OF THE QUESTION (when it comes to these bums). There isn't a chance in hell they could lead this horse to water......I'd prefer my own p*ss.

THIS is great news ??? I thought I'd open the thread and it would say that they fired Doug....now THAT would be great news !!!!!

Not to demean passing the IOSA audit, it is an accomplishment.

But, what was the last time we heard 'resounding success' from Corporate Communication?
