From everything I've read, I've gathered that "sticker shock" is setting in for many who are finding out what's in the ACA (after having voted for it to find that out, per Skeletor Lugosi).

Our country continually ranks poorly at best in regards to our health care but your main concern is that we do not have socialized healthcare. Having a system in place where people do not need to worry about going bankrupt (healthcare is one of the biggest causes of bankruptcy) but you folks are worried about being a socialist just because we want to take care of our sick? The rest of the western countries take care of their sick better than we do. Are they all socialists? If their healthcare is better and more efficient then who the hell cares .. aside from the Pharm, Hospitals, insurance companies and pretty much everyone else in the medical field who is making a fortune off of people misfortune. Does the fact that there is profit involved in people being sick not strike any of you as a conflict of interest?

By the way. You should really look up the terms communist and socialist. Russia has about as much to do with either of those terms as the KKK has to do with brotherly love.

Someone who is retired and collecting social security and medicare doesn't want socialized medicine for anyone else? Can you say hypoctite? If socialism is frightening you then give back your social security check. Unless you do that you are a complete hypocrite.

As MCI, I am collecting the SS bennies but not medicare - yet.

We paid for that out of our paychecks for years as you have. Those are goverment-mandated taxes we paid with the promise of that money's return at a later date. Basically, the programs were set up for those who couldn't manage to save any money.

If I could be refunded all I paid into those two politician slush funds PLUS INTEREST, I would be quite pleased to waive all payments/consideration from both funds.
