heard the peidmont plane was painted already

i heard the peidmont a320 was painted already and is sitting at the phl hangar. any truth to this. i know that there is a 767 painted in th new colors already. so i am not confused.

I wish they would paint a 767 in Piedmont colors--I love flying PHL-LAX in the late 80's/early 90's on the 767 with ice cream sundaes in FC. Didn't US get the 767 from PI?

Yes the 767s were from PI and Colodny cancelled the last three on order and realized they were money makers and reordered the three planes but it cost $10 million more per plane.

I'd think it be great to see the whole Dash-8 Fleet painted in PI colors from the 1980s and 1990s and the PSA fleet in the PSA colors from teh 1980s and 90's. Then to see a couple of Mainline Planes in the respective colors and the smile that went along with the PSA flights

One of our Dash 8-300 aircraft is in Maine right now going through a heavy check. It should be back on line at the beginning of Janruary, if not by the end of the year. It will have the new colors upon its' return, whether or not it's retro Piedmont colors we won't know until then.

They did not paint another A320 on the US East side. A/C 650 is in the paint shop right now.

Only A/C 656 and 109 have been repainted for mainline US East.

thank you mmw. i did know about N650US being in the paint shop. do u know if any 330's are in for paint as well?

There are no A330's in the paint track right now. There are 2 A330's out of the system due to their S-Check. A/C 678 has been in YUL for quite a while and has taken a lot longer then schedule. A/C 675 has been parked in YUL for almost 2 weeks awaiting induction into heavy. It is parked because it is out of time on the check and can't fly until the check is accomplished. since the heavy track for the A330 is now running behind schedule, I don't think you will see one pulled for paint in the next couple months.
