TEMPE, Ariz., March 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- US Airways (NYSE: LCC)
announces the recall of approximately 400 flight attendants, who will be in
place to operate the airline's summer schedule. The recall notices, which
begin in April 2006, will be issued on a seniority basis among furloughed US
Airways flight attendants.

The announcement follows the recent recall of 55 furloughed US Airways
pilots and the airline's decision earlier this year to begin hiring
approximately 200 reservation agents in 2006.
The merger of US Airways and America West in September 2005 created the
fifth largest domestic airline employing 35,000 aviation professionals. US
Airways, US Airways Shuttle and US Airways Express operate approximately
3,700 flights per day and serve more than 230 communities in the U.S., Canada,

as the first truly global airline alliance to offer customers global reach and
a smooth travel experience. Star Alliance has been voted Best Airline
