Here's My Delta Bag Tag

Great job Grog! This board has forgotten what humor is...I love it!!
Don't get me wrong, it's entertaining, on here. Very clever. Would I print it out and use it on my crew wheels? Uhh, no. That's just stupid. 😛

I'm especially fond of the heritage logo.

I understand why you wouldn't print mine out, high road and all (of course I'll bet you don't have any room on your stuff because of the Delta tags the company gave you); but, where's Delta's high road when they print it on stickers, bag tags, buttons, banners and I'm not kidding you here, on an airport buses in ATL. I'll bet it will be on an ex-Song '57 soon too.

Delta, low brow? Oh yes they are and it shows. This is starting to seem more and more like Delta's CEO et al are trying to keep their jobs by convincing the masses something is amiss. Maybe they should've spent all that button money on their golden parachutes instead.

I find this thread kinda funny! "Great job on the luggage tag Grog

A point for both work groups to consider.

The toes you step on today may be attached to the arse you have to kiss tomorrow.

That goes BOTH for DL & US employees and customers.
I think we have to understand that the DL employees, whether they admit it or not, are scared. Consequently, fear breeds hostility and hate. Imagine how you would feel if everyone around you was shouting "hostile takeover": in the crew van, on the airplane, in the crew lounge, etc.... It would get to you!

The buttons, while entertaining, are a tool to quell the employees and get them involved. If DL did nothing, employees would be losing it at this point! The buttons are a way for management to have the employees "fight" this takeover and band together, even though many of them are really not sure exactly what they are fighting against. They are fighting US together, and that notion of "family" breeds comfort and safety, in a world of unknowns. Let them have their buttons.

Just thinkin' out loud....

While funny I myself would NOT put a tag on my bag about Delta anything. Though I understand they are fearing the unknown and can turn bitter an attitude I shall NOT stand for. Walking through the airport/waiting for a van and casually saying "Hello" to a Delta member should NOT constitute being treated rudely. So like I said earlier, if you get treated rude by a Delta employee when you are only trying to be nice a big middle finger works MUCH better than a button or bag tag. From a US employee to a DL employee..."YOUR management team along with MINE does NOT have your best interest at heart. BELIEVE THAT MY FRIENDS! ! ! !

I keep hearing how awful DL employees are being towards US. I have been in close proximity to 2 DL crews since the DL anouncement, and they were fine! Both said something along the lines of "it's out of our hands," and we chatted, and that was it. I know it was only 2 crews I have seen, but I have witnessed absolutely no hostility what so ever.

I think it may have a lot to do with being in "your element" in regards to attitude. When I lived in Vegas the reception from some west crewmembers was a little different then when I would see them standing around the B6-8 gates in PHL. I think everyone for the most part is pretty chatty with each other now. Hell this place is in a shambles and both sides know it and we all are not at fault.

I wonder what it would be like for Doug Parket to fly Delta.

I saw a a DL freight cart with the KMDD professionally painted on the back in PHL. Who would have done that?

If they talked to you then they must of been old Western.

I like the FA's that walk around with 15 tags/ stickers on their bags and 10 pins on their blazer......crisp look! 😱

This discussion reminds me of the "flair" in Office Space... Are there any Stans in Tempe???
----------------

STAN
I need to talk about your flair.

JOANNA
Really? I have 15 buttons on. I, uh, (shows him

STAN
Well, ok, 15 is minimum, ok?

JOANNA
Ok.

STAN
Now, it's up to you whether or not you want to just do the bare
minimum. Well, like Brian, for example, has 37 pieces of flair. And a
terrific smile.

JOANNA
Ok. Ok, you want me to wear more?

STAN
Look. Joanna.

JOANNA
Yeah.

STAN
People can get a cheeseburger anywhere, ok? They come to Chotchkie's
for the atmosphere and the attitude. That's what the flair's about.
It's about fun.

JOANNA
Ok. So, more then?

STAN
Look, we want you to express yourself, ok? If you think the bare
minimum is enough, then ok. But some people choose to wear more and we
encourage that, ok? You do want to express yourself, don't you?

JOANNA
Yeah. Yeah.

STAN
Great. Great. That's all I ask.

JOANNA
Ok.

Stupid. Just fueling the fire and being childish. Take the high road....
But, whatever works for ya.... 😛h34r:
