How will you vote?

How will you vote with the information that MF has provided so far?

  • Yes

    Votes: 5 11.4%
  • No

    Votes: 39 88.6%

  • Total voters
    44
Can you believe there are actually a few RESERVES who find this new language fit for a YES vote? I know of a few and I'll tell you one thing, it's like talking politics! ! ! Stay off the subject because it makes me like them less and less everyday. Terrible I know but it's so true. When it comes to this new contract YES voters to me are like Palin supporters. To THINK she was a pretzel choke away from being president and to THINK that these f/a's could vote yes for this contract which could very well be a press of a button away. Ugggggh God help us alll.

How DARE they go against the Establishment!!

I am definitely going to vote no for the T/A. This contract is a full blown concessionary contract. There is no reason that we have to give up something in order to get something. The last contract was a major concessionary contract because the company stated that if we agreed to it then they would not file bankruptcy. But what did they do immediately after we signed it? They still filed for bankruptcy and we have been stuck with this crappy contract while our company has been making profits and our upper management has been receiving bonuses.
The fact that we are getting rid of weekend restriction, but for that we are going to have to touch holidays is unacceptable. The fact that the reserves are getting hosed in the new contract is also unacceptable. Please just reading the OPR language is horifying all on its own. There will be 2 OPR shifts a 3 hour and a 6 hour and at the end of the 3 hour shift the company can switch us and make us stay for the 6 hour OPR shift. So instead of our current 4 hour OPR shift (which if we are giving a trip we have to be airbourne within 6 hours of starting our OPR shift) we will have to do a 6 hour OPR shift. You have got to be kidding me.
The reasons to vote no continue on and on and on!
I am stunned that MF is so proud of this TA. His wife (who is very sweet) has been asked numerous times by f/a if he was going to come back on line and she has stated that he would never come back on line. This is something that should give everyone a big food for thought. This says alot.
Then of course CA she has not flown a real trip in how many years. She is way out of touch with what goes on out on line.
I just pray that everyone will take the time to read the entire TA and not just the highlights that they normally post in the front. This is something that we will have to live with for a very long time. Also remember that whatever we give up we will not get back. The proof for that statement lies in the current TA that is being negotiated for us.

Now just hold on a minute.....I've flown with her also and she has never said that.

And just to be clear....CA has forgotten more than you will ever know.

And I've flown with Cathy and she has never done/ said the things you have said. He said, she said. Next.

Cryptic. Please explain.

Naaaaah it's just that the club of stupid people has more than one member. 😉 Taking applications?
So..What your saying is...If someone does not agree with you they are from the "Stupid Group" ? Interesting..

I think that is what they are saying.

No not the stupid group but a group that is willing to throw others under the bus for what the believe will be personal gain. We are a group and should stand together. If it were a tiny group shouting and protesting I may be inclined to ignore it. But what we're seeing here is members who went to meetings and heard the information shouting NO. What are all these people saying NO for? Many of them are blockholders so it's not the reserves shouting the loudest. Can't use the divide excuse any longer. Next! ! ! 🙄

Proceeding through life without a proper understanding of how things work as a whole is wreckless and at best a treacherous energy consuming endevour. This situation reminds me of the dum dums that bought homes with contracts that were absolute trash and then wondered what happened. They stood there saying "everyone else was doing it" and "well i thought I understood". The lesson from that is to READ a contract in its entirety, then make your decision to sign or not sign based upon an evaluation of all aspects of that contract. This will require mental energy and a commitment to yourself to sit down and digest the material and weigh the options presented...this task may well be over a great many heads.

Making decisions based upon emotional upset is a sure way to lead to a bad f.

A NO vote based upon one section or based upon what everyone else is doing shows a complete lack of self respect, not the opposite as someone else posted in an earlier thread note. Basically, voting no immediately without reading, reviewing and digesting the enitire contract shows that you are not only immature, but also inept and mentally incapable of assembling and then making sense of life.

You might as well show up to work holding a torch and a pitch fork. You look to mob mentality to run your life and make your decisions. The truth is you could not possibly make a concrete valid true vote yes or no based upon the information provided by either union at this moment. Thus far, you may have read things that you do not support, but those sections still require a road show to explain the mechanics of those sections.

The very vote category of Yes or No is also faulted. The correct wording is: Yes, No or Undecided

Goodnight Clones!

Look at the survey numbers here. 5 have voted YES and 39 have voted NO. There are only a few of us here that are labeled by some as "trouble makers" yet 39 have voted here. Anyway, I have said it before and will 1000 times over if needed. ANY member that would willingly vote YES to a contract that would leave a more junior to work under such a TERRIBLE reserve system should be ashamed of themselves. It most certainly is throwing your junior member under the bus for YOUR gain. It's as simple as that really. There is NOTHING this JNC will bring that makes the rest of the language brought thus far miraculously WORK. No, No, No and.......HELL TO THE NO! ! !

The real title for this thread should be "How will you vote on an INCOMPLETE contract?".

39 out of thousands have already decided that an INCOMPLETE contract isn't worth letting the rest make up their own minds.

Vote YES or vote NO, but I want to be able to vote on a COMPLETE contract.

Look, this isn't going to be the pilot thread and circle round and round and round. The JNC has done a terrible job thus far and it will be taken care soon enough. 😉
