Does US have a policy in place for human remains that are waiting overnight to be transferred to another flight? I was surprised to a an airtray sitting in a cart with the curtain open out in the pouring rain, I would have thought that someone would have taken it to the freight house to keep it protected...

Did you close the curtain, move it out of the rain, and/or notify anybody?

If I worked for US Airways I wouldn't be asking would I....
I actually have no idea who you are or who you work for. Can you let us in on which station you saw this at? As you can tell, the file I have on you in my dossier is pretty sparse.

typically i would believe that may be the hr would have been protected in my station it goes to the freight house and often a funeral home will pick it up and hold it overnight

Saw it in CLT, sitting over at mail sort. I make it a practice not to rummage through baggage carts, last thing I need is to be pulled inside because I was on seen video moving something inside a cart.

There is a policy, its up on Wings, you can ship an immediate family member for free, details are in a pdf on wings somewhere...

Point taken. But that does not excuse you from pointing it out to someone who could rectify the situation. Unless you are mute, whether you work for US Airways or not is irrelevant.

Not many options at 03:00 to find anyone. You can't get anyone during the day to get something done let alone in the early morning. I just don't understand, not one of you will admit that someone from US may have screwed up, you all want to deflect blame on someone else. So is there a policy in place for the handling of HR's?

Thank you HP, I was responding while you posted..

03:00. Ok. So, a total of ONE person was scandalized.

Would you be saying that if you found out it was one of your family members? ONE is an unacceptable number when your transporting human remains...

Actually, I would not get upset. I am spiritually aware enough to know that it's "ashes to ashes, dust to dust" when it comes to remains. Not one bit of any of my family members remains within the corpse after demise. They all move on to better things, as will you and I. Once I go, I really don't care what happens to my "mortal remains," as long as they are disposed of in a manner not to cause any harm to the living environment. In fact, as a member of the Neptune Society, it will be scattered ashes for me.
