What's new

I don't know how to clean planes, they say.

goes to show jenny that nwa doesnt have the adaquate maintaince. they lack real professionals when compared to other airlines

eventually the legacy carriers will have to rehire due to the condition of the aircraft. Delta is already taking action on their trashy airplanes.

I stand by my comments, I can't tell you how many times I've said "Hello" and smiled as I'm entering the cabin to clean or delivering the supplies they've requested and get a frosty look in return.I'm not leering at anyone, not making lewd comments, not pawing through the galley for a soda.Hell, I'm even in a complete and clean uniform.(Which is a rarity in itself these days)

Although when the smokers are looking for a place to fire one up its a different story.

I understand people having a bad day, but it seems a hell of a lot of our flight attendants are having "Bad Days".

The TWA FA's were a lot more civil, even knowing they were losing their jobs in the near future.

Thank you for the kind comment about the TWA f/a's, I am one of them. We always treated every employee with respect regardless of the position they held. When a cleaner or agent or mechanic were working on the aircraft most of us would offer them something to drink and in some cases something to eat. <leftover baked cookies>

A few years back we were landing in STL and continuing on to XYZ city. We were just about to land when I noticed my tote bag sitting on the galley counter. In my haste I put it in a empty cart. After deplaning the pax's I walked up the jet way to give the agent my liquor papers and briefly chatted with her. When I returned to the aircraft the galley had been completely switched out for the next leg and the cart that I left my bag in was el gonno. In my bag was my manual <a no go item for f/a's> my wallet and passport. One of our cleaners was on board and saw that I was in a panic and I told him what had happened. He immediately ran down to the ramp and hopped in a tug and went to the other side of the field to the Sky Chef's kitchens to look through many carts. Like finding a needle in a hay stack, but miracles do happen he found my bag in the first cart he opened. He raced back to my flight and handed it to me with a smile while I was on the phone with inflight explaining what happened. They were getting ready to replace me.

I could not thank him enough!!!!! He said "We have to look out for each other we are family."
