Why are you so angry? Did you try to get hired by the "old-us airways and didn't? YOU may want to leave because I can assure you, when we all start flying together, (which by the way, am looking forward to, as long as it isn't you) the senior mammas will eat you alive! Please try to tell an East f/a not to give out headsets to deadheaders, nonrevs,or the hot guy in the exit row! You need to get a life! o and by the way, Ive flown on hp flights plenty and not once did the f/a not give me a headset! I hope other east f/a's realize that people like you are not the majority at HP! You are a bad representative for the west!If you "friend" told you that stuff he/she is lying. We get 75 pounds of ice for every flight. Our mini drawer holds 70, there are 2 rows of 2 types of vodka, smirnoff and finlandia. I have NEVER run out of any liquor. We get two cartons of milk for first unless we are serving cereal then we get a carton for each first class seat plus two extra for coffee. We get lemons and limes for both coach and first on EVERY flight. However, we DO NOT take delays for crew meals or catering items! I can think of two instances where we did not have lemons or limes. Mistakes happen, get OVER it! And, guess what, when we are officially merged you to will have 70 minis, 24 beer and 12 wine. Don't like it, go work at another carrier!
We do not hand out free headsets to deadheading or nonrev paxs. Get used to it, it WILL be YOUR new policy as well! Water bottles, well, I have never heard of not giving those out, I always get them from the crew always give them to nonrevs (east or west) when I am working the flight.
I am frankly sick of the lies and attitude that are shout out by you and your nasty cohorts on the east side. You do not like the way things are going to change, then please do us all a favor and leave!!!!!! The old USairways is DEAD AND GONE. Get over it!

Do most of the FA's on the west side write eachother up NO...
Its a very bad ideal. However we have a few cowboys over hear that seem to have a bee in there shorts.(YES, some FA"S would rather write you up but there names get around... just as not paying for picking up trips) Yes... we have alot of humour. Its just we must watch out.WE have alot of fun at our Jobs... I love my job personaly and make sure My (employees and F/C passengers are treated great. I get alot of A/B's.... Plus.... I try to make my employees feel welcomed... I talk to every EAST FA... and try to give small talk when I am not so busy...
Alot of us have the old school mentality. Make sure our employees come first because no one else will watch out for US(Pilots/Mechanics/FA's/etc and downt he line) However there are a few.... Write up happy Fa's... NEW and OLD that seem to be trying to either get a point accross to there working group or they are just plain nutz..... I personally learned from OLD SCHOOL... Teachings of Branniff/PanAM/and Vangard... U take care of you own... SO It does happen...
I say when your own our A/C ---->>> Just do this... Give us a smile.. SHow your badge when you get own the aircraft... Give us small talk and then.... U might see some changes....
The ill/will stories are not true.... Just fly us and you will see......
Yes... We have some bitter Fa's that are dying that America West name is gone and still to this day dont speak US Airways..... they say America West... But I am sure and I have seen personaly some of your CLT crews... get down right nasty about a nice simple conversation about FCFS... 🙂 So you/us - US Airways has some die hard thoughts and opnions about this situation. 🙂 But its all in good fun.... No one knows how this is really going to turn out...
I mean the MILLIONS of thousands of Fa's pouring in from the EAST to the WEST (PHX) base cracks me up..
Just as the Displaments of the WEST FA's... from PHX to CLT/PHL/BOS/LGA/DCA makes me laugh...
But I can say again/again... we must cometogether on message boards to show that we are together... EAST/WESt. 🙂
My experinces....
SO many times east FA's get on and dont even say hi... Personally I think that's wrong... WHen I fly EAst AC I say hi... I'm ______________, and I'm from the WEST/Based in ________. I"m sitting in _________. Let me know if there is anything I can do for ya?
And Yes... they usually "take care of me" .... So we do it on the west... We just make sure who is on the A/C...If they are a FA from EAST/WEST... WE do have a lot of write up happy Fa's... and it makes me sick... Personally... I feel if you have a problem with me... COME to me...... bUT THAts my beef.... Yes we have different culture... But we also have a same culture... Look at the HERTIAGE PIN.... 🙂
Anyhow..... Its the same... EAST/WEST......

NO we use a interphone and the first walks to the exit row and the other fa's bring it up to us in the galley or we grab what ever supplies by the exit row. But making fun again of our p/p gets us no where.... :down:

As for LGA, I will be there tomorrow. Cannot wait until the sand castle shuts that place down!!!! Unfortunately i am stuck flying east metal tonight, so I know to bring my own water and snacks and anything else I need because I know there is no such thing as smiles or service on the east side. 😛 I have flow US since they were Allegheny so I am aware of what to expect.
The DM chairmen who fly HP for the first time are thrilled to actually see a smiling face, get a predeparture beverage, and a decent amount of service. I have heard this OVER, and OVER again!

Regional carrier mentality...once the Westies takeover the Easties flights you will lose more and more pax on the East
Don't know who you are talking to...maybe someone on a long haul before food service came back US East, but your short hauls, well, let's just say :blink: Lots of entertainment on those flights...between the pax and the kooky FA's milling around doing their dance and talking to themselves and all of that. I will do everything possible to avoid HP metal, including booking on UA.
And, trust me, the game of treating coworkers lousy is not going to go over well on the East. Even your VFF will find that disgusting. They deserve some freebies...all that does is breed distrust and dishonesty and bad morale. You Westies are a bunch of stepford wives when your foot steps on that plane. On the East, we prefer our FA's to be real.
And they are bitter rightfully so. There is a huge difference between changing the name of a regional carrier to that of an international one and TAKING AWAY A BENEFIT OF BEING SENIOR. Without your seniority, you have NOTHING. Get a grip. Those senior people MUST make a HUGE fuss about FCFS--don't let them strip you of the last thing you have worked for--YOUR SENIORITY.
You certainly can, but you see, HP has taken all of the closets off the planes! You have to cram all of the jackets and WINTER coats (yes, Tempe, it is not warm in the winter months in the Northeast) behind row 3. You see, it is much more important to CRAM in more Y seats and make the coach product THE WORST in the industry. Well, I guess it should be no different than the cheap FC product they offer...but the Westies think we are living large in FC :blink: Now get on your knees, talk to yourself and put your arms in an X.

Due to head winds, the flight time to Rome will be ten hours. Ration accordingly. But of course, reserve some "crew water" since we'll be dead smack in the middle of Italian rush hour when we get in.

Kind of like the wet lease. US flew a US plane on an HP flight. Catering shows up with HP stuff, since that is what they are expecting. If the US plane flew with HP carts, that might be a problem, but who knows?
This whole arm crossing, double talking stuff from Trans Tempe kind of reminds me of the knock/don't knock wars of BWI.
It is all very silly.
