IAM DL142 Election Update

Where OH Where Are the Brother's DELL DUE & MR 700???
MWW
in typical IBT fashion you clowns leave out all the relevent stuff....

Fred Said stop over he has made a special dish for his future IBT brothers of freshly cooked crow..... they will be tasting it soon...

the IAM mouthpieces were wrong about the stock clerks - I am betting they are on a roll of being wrong - it ain't over yet and I am further betting that when there is a vote that most of those UNEMPLOYED cleaners do not have a high opinion of the IAM. But we already know that Hemmingway loves you guys. You know how to do what the company tells you.

you take this stuff way too serious.....either way the sun will rise and life will go on.

damn skippy I take it serious - don't want to loose pay and benefits not to metion gaining a union that I can't trust any further than I can spit backwards. I say that with five years experience of the IAM.

Can't trust?

Sounds like the ibt to me, taken over by the government because the ibt was funneling pension money to the mafia, several past International Presidents, charged and/or convicted of crimes.

Ron Carey stealing money.

You must be confusing your union.

The former TWU fleet service at HP have lost nothing being an IAM member.

And I hope you proofread your former proposals to HP before you gave it to them.

Main Entry: loose
not rigidly fastened or securely attached

no typo here I have had the misfortune of getting downwind of the IAM before so I know what a POS they are. Check the web again there is plenty of cases of IAM folk stealing money. So yes I do not trust the IAM any more than my ex-wife's lawyer.

NMB RULES ON ELIGIBLE VOTERS IN MECHANICS AND RELATED GROUPS
As employees may have been following, the National Mediation Board (NMB) is in the process of deciding whether the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM), which represents the former East mechanics, or International Brotherhood of Teamsters (IBT), which represents the former West mechanics, will be the bargaining representative for the combined mechanic and related employees craft or class. As part of that process, both the unions and the company were required to submit information to the NMB regarding which employees should be considered potential eligible voters in the mechanic craft or class.

On June 28, the NMB issued its ruling regarding potential eligible voters. The NMB ruled that stock clerks are not eligible voters because they are a separate craft or class, but furloughed employees do remain eligible voters. Approximately 80 former West employees in Technical Operations who are not currently union-represented, but whose former East counterparts are represented by IAM, also are now eligible voters. All told, the NMB ruled there were approximately 6,000 eligible voters in the mechanic craft or class. The NMB did not decide, however, whether IBT has submitted a sufficient showing of interest to trigger an election. Generally speaking, a union has to submit a showing of interest from approximately 35% of the eligible voters to trigger an election.

The NMB decision gives the parties until July 10 to file appeals, with responses due by July 17. Following the resolution of any appeals, we expect the NMB will make a final determination on whether IBT has a sufficient showing of interest to trigger a representation election. The company will continue to share information with employees as it is received.

The fight to get rid of the IAM will never be over till they no longer exist. And this clash is not over yet
