(Psst. See if you can get an IAM withdrawal card.)

After the IAM was voted out at NWA, our stewards collected withdrawal cards and the required money from many of us. The IAM spitefully decided we could not have a withdrawal card, since we had voted them out. Instead, they offered us a chance to become associate members of the IAM, which puzzled many of us, as the IAM had told us that it was bad to be associate members of a another union when the IAM represented us, but now it was acceptable to be associate members of the IAM while represented by AMFA. Go figure.

You are really gonna enjoy reading the letters of agreement that the IAM signed.

Boeingbender,

Thanks, you proved my point by dumping years of employee greivances, and historical records into the trash.  The IAM professionalism has performed as expected.

Thanks for nothing!!!

I would suggest taking the union to court for all past records.
By rights, the membership paid for every one of those hearings through dues.
That property is the memberships, not the Iam''s.

It also clarifies lanugage in the contract.

If they destroyed it they only hurt themselves.

Whoops! Sorry about pulling the trigger on the multiple replies. P.S. - Wrong guess again. I've never been off the floor in my UAL career and have no involvment with ANY union for years. Really TTFN.

What's up UT? I've been on vacation and come back to find you having a psychogenic episode. I heard "Polly Prissy-Pants" Prisco was just in the turbine shop today telling people that the UAL & the IAM were giving up all the information on grievances at the third step and above directly to Local 9. He also said the tha first and second step grievances were being sent by the IAM to AMFA National in Laconia. What are you venting about? Is your statement factually incorrect?

Touchy aren't we? Of course, I was speaking of your record of generalized smearing of anyone who seems to disagree with your world view (I've lurked a long time on this site). Case in point your reply. I don't take your rant personally (the poster boy comment was cute) nor can I recall saying I support or defend the IAM. If you want to change the subject maybe you want to start a new thread?

Boeingbender,

Generalized 'Smearing' ???
If I make a statement that is factually incorrect, I  will (and have) apologize.
If you have something specific to discuss, cut to the chase.

Fair enough. I had my say about the opening message of this thread. TTFN

So, when are you going to get your butt back to work and get off the dole?

What's going on UT? I go on vacation for a week and come back to find you having a psychogenic episode. I heard 'Polly Prissy-Pants' Prisco was in the turbine shop today telling people that UAL & IAM had already turned over all grievances at the third level and above directly to Local 9. He also said that the first and second step grievances from all the former locals was being shipped to AMFA National in Laconia. The Local 9 website says most of the same. What are you venting about? Are you being factually correct? Thank you for proving my point. TTFN.

Boeingbender,
When you decide who you are, you'll feel much better.
As for "Polly Prissy-Pants" Prisco .......... Read THIS :

Tsk,tsk. If you would read my reply, I already track everything being posted. Everyone should stay informed as that cuts down the rumours and B.S.. Called a couple of other folks who were at the meeting AMFA's transitional commitee had on swing shift yesterday in the SFOPD cafeteria. They confirmed what Prissy-Pants said about grievance handling. He didn't say anything about missing paperwork although he did say there are fewer grievances then he thought at the third step. He also said that UAL and the union need to stop butting heads and work together in a new business relationship. What the F... is that supposed to mean? AMFA had better be butting heads, kicking A and abusing other company body parts to protect our interests. He also said that R&D issue they brought up in ORD was that the folks pushing back should be AMFA and not that they had to be AMT's. Seems they want the rampers to pay AMFA dues now. Not to mention the fuelers. So much for a union for AMT's. You still aren't addressing the question of what you're jabbering about. Maybe that apology you mentioned is order. Are you capable of it? Oh, that's right. You smear the messenger if you don't like the message. You must really be Gary Davis. And thanks for your concern for MY mental health. TTFN - BB

"Maybe that apology you mentioned is order. Are you capable of it? Oh, that's right. You smear the messenger if you don't like the message."

Well, anything is possible.
It appears that the turnover was accomplished in a professional manner.
All SFO grievance paperwork has been given to AMFA local 9.
Offices we not 'trashed' but left empty.
The transition is going smoothly (considering).

I apologize for doubting that the IAM would not do the right thing.

I would also like to add my 'Sincere Thanks and Appreciation' to the
people who were IAM Stewards and Officers that stepped up to become AMFA Shop Representatives, and Officers.
