Now are these 747-8 rumors I keep hearing about true? Apparently this rumor is running like wildfire on the line the past week. Some gals had neat pictures of them already printed from their AOLs.

They are going to place a massive order for A380s to run them from PHX to TUS for an hourly shuttle.

The plane is all ready built and in US Livery.

That is so typical of this American West management. Their hub gets an hourly shuttle for their TUS gals with widebodies and we are still waiting for a single A330 on an PHL-PIT-PHL turn! Ugh..you know they are in big trouble next summer when us PIT gals aren't able to commute to PHL - the T/A operation will shut down.

Your comment smells like seniority envy. You know Gloria gets full retirement from Social Security in 8 more years. Maybe then I will consider retiring. You know at 65 --- like the rest of America. Just because you are unhappy doesn't mean us senior gals are put out to pasture when we have the change of life. Hey-- if I am having too much fun and keeping passengers happy on a transatlantic tue/wed/thu with summer and Christmas vacation, I will fly until I fail recurrent. Don't forget - I was once on reserve too. When I was hired on by Allegheny it took a few years to get off reserve.

I helped build this airline I can be as loud as I want.

No I was not the gal that said that to you. I am not THAT condescending (that sounds like Marcia W.!! hehehe). Like I said, not retiring until at least 65 - you know the normal retirement age here in the USA! I am not going to let the seniority envy of the juniors be a valid excuse for age discrimination. You really should be more careful when reading. Last I checked - DCA was still a base (if not - somebody better tell my PIT buddy bidder Donna D. before she displaces there - although she said she will come to PHL in the summers to do the T/A twirl with me). I can't wait to fly with you sometime over the next 8 years or so. Although you won't see me the next few weeks, I think there will be some new hires or reserves in my place. I have a terrible cold and I have approved intermittent family medical leave of abscence for my sinus and allergy trouble. Merry Christmas!!! Happy New Year!!! See you in PHL!!
