Okay, I stepped off on a limb and am flying to Jamaica next week. (On business, albeit.)

I'm nervous about flying cross country, and then being south of Cuba. (Just isn't a natural feeling!)

Should I buy Bonine or Dramamine? (ROFL)

Good for you. Have fun! But, pack a lunch (unless you like stale sandwiches or sugary snacks on your flight down). Take a good salad or sandwich, a video i-pod, and ask for the WHOLE can of Diet Coke, and you'll be fine.

I'd bring a really long book to read or six issues of People since you are probably taking one of the "oh so convenient" connections from PHX to the Caribbean. 🙄 What do you have, a five hour layover in PHL or CLT?

Good for you Fly! I hope that you have fun and be sure to take lots of notes and photos during your FAM trip, it will help you when advising customers. You should be fine on the flight. Good luck and relax!

Probably CLT. PHL longest connection is something like 4 hours.

I bought a ticket for a wedding in Europe in the near future, couldn't afford trying to non rev. I'd like to see Cuba before Castro finally dies (but really don't want to spend any dough over there while he is still in power). Nothing like seeing history.

Most likely you will fly over Cuba.

US1YFARE, The layover in Charlotte will be about 3 hours on Monday Morning. (23rd.) It shouldn't be so bad, as I heard we get club passes. If not, I guess I'll try to snooze on the floor of terminal whatever. *grin*

BuffaloJoe, LOL we were debating that (flying over Cuba) the other day at work. We'd probably be taken prisoner and tortured if we did that! 😱

US flights to the Carribean have permission to fly over Cuba on a per flight basis and you are NOT allowed to take pics of Cuba as you fly over it.

Usually the FAs will make that announcement.
