Actually, it is a very good argument. However, when all is said and done the airline will be able to argue to a jury (if it gets to an actual trial) that the circumstances all changed on 9/11/01 and that data that happened prior to 9/11 is irrelevant under the totality of the circumstances.

I also continue to believe that there isn't a jury around that will actually find the airline liable and award damages.

I agree. Also, it my proove difficult for the plaintiffs to get a completely unbiased jury in the US, post 9/11. In any event, my understanding is that US Airways responded to the plaintiff's action -- not their appearance, etc. This is not one I'd expect the company to settle unless it just costs less than going to trial. Even in a settlement, I wouldn't expect any sort of admission of wrong doing.

Finally! The reason why I actually have admiration for LCC. Because of this iman incident. No it won't go away, in fact US...for some reason...was targeted. Try to read the facts and try to use a little common sense on the "opinion".

The imans were correct (former ALPA safety dude). USAirways should be the losers on this. The captain should have tossed the objecting non-islamic protester. The one passenger who had a problem with the imans should have been evicted from the plane, actually, IMO, shot. The movie "airplane" had a segment on how to deal with fruitcakes lighting their hair on fire, let everyone else slap them silly, as needs be.

Look, the Bush admin, deciding to do everything opposite from the Clintonians, left the US open to terrorist attack, and the terrorists took advantage of it. So, they are guilty because you have brown skin, is that it? Perhaps the three were "booted" because americakans are running around with hair on fire and no other reason? If so, wouldn't you be embarrassed for being such an idiot?

I don't remember all the details, but the flight crew was very suspicious of the threes behavior. They were removed on the crews call and the removal was supported by CMH personnel. The three sued AWA for discrimination and lost. It wasn't guilt by skin color.

It wasn't a matter of the lfight crew finding them suspicious...they were trying to get into the cockpit. They kept claiming they wanted to use the facilities. Don't know about y'all, but I never really did find the markings THAT confusing on a planeof any kind that had them.

And yes, at least two of them are in Gitmo for being related to the planning of the terror attacks. Brown skin had nothing to do with it- making attempts at getting into the cockpit did. They were testing to see how hard it would be to do so and guess what?

As for racial profiling? It's not my 90 year old grandmother with a knee replacement that attacks innocent people across the globe with IEDs and flying planes into buildings. It's Muslim men, and a few women that Muslim men deem worthy of martyring themselves.

Give me a break here. We're not talking about people being pulled over by the police for "driving while Black"- which is a legit complaint. We're talking about a bunch o radical people who don't give a rat's patoot about who they kill to get their way in the world.
