I realize the company will not announce it until after the votes are in, I think this is cruel especially around the holidays...it's getting tough to have that holiday spirit....Just wondering how long we'll have to wait.....Until it's officially announced....not ready to believe the rumors..would like to know for sure...

Now you know there's not cynical bone in my body, but...

If I were a betting man, I would say that any office that votes against the TA is the one that they planned to close all along. 😱

Pittsburgh Res is the only one that would make sense: As I understand it, they have never replaced the Regional Director who left the company; there are two buildings to maintain; they're leased, and aren't the most senior, eligible-to-retire, agents in Pittsburgh Res? I worked in Pit Res for a while, formerly from Orlando Res, and from my perspective productivity in Pittsburgh was far from superior. I remember the rule about no food at your position, yet people would still consume plates of spaghetti. Couldn't quite figure that one out. In Orlando a violation such as that would have been at least a three-day vacation.

Please tell me when is the last time this company did anything that MAKES SENSE????? If it makes sense they do the Oppisite...Watch out INT...LOL

The company will close an office and then a few months later offer the buyout. If you read the TA it doesn't say buyout first then close an office.. wait and see.

If it were posted in Vegas, Id bet the farm it will be PIT closing. Seems they can't run fast enuf away from there. Just like the West Coast, Pit will only be a shadow of it's former self.

Wonder if they are going to move Dispatch, Crew Sched, RTD and those other departments out at RIDC down to NC as well???

I don't think there is going to be a Company to Move!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good Grief! People are consuming "plates of spaghetti" while getting payed $20.00 an hour talking on the phones to our customers?? How attractive! No wonder this company is in trouble, with employees like this. And they wonder why they want to close this office. It sounds like they are a tad to comfortable, fat and happy.

USA320Pilot comments: There is reason to believe that RIDC functions will move too, most likely to CLT. On possible location would be the CLT maintenance hangar office space and if necessary, expanded office space with the city providing the funding.

It is my understanding the Facilities Department is studying the move and potential alternatives.

In my opinion, Pittsburgh could lose all training functions, RIDC, Greentree Reservations, heavy maintenance, and more gates.

Just like it is too expensive to relocate CCY to a lower cost city it would be too expensive to relocate or rehire ( when they don't move and take their severance) all the management employees at RIDC. While res agents are, according to the company, completely replaceable do you really think they would force the hundreds of employees at RIDC to move to NC? Doubtful, maybe a department or two, but the whole place? Remember, RIDC employees get paid moves, living expenses ... would be stupid to move that place out of there. Maybe move them into less expensive digs, but again, there would be costs involved in that as well.

Isn't it interesting...I also worked in Pit CRO after transferring in due to my office closing, and I had a completely different opinion of the people and place...I have never met a more dedicated, hard-working group...and I have worked ramp, ops, gate, ATO, res...And if there were spaghetti dinners while on the phone, I must have missed them and I worked evenings...I did see someone with a coffee and a Krispy-Creme once..but very discreet, as who would want to share that? And as for the $20/hr while eating spaghetti and talking to passengers....Sorry, I never saw it...All I saw were a bunch of overworked, underappreciated people who truly enjoyed helping people, finding the best solution for customers needs, and truly caring about the company and each other...Sorry you missed the same people I came to know....

Sounds exactly like the same wonderful group of dedicated employees that I work with in INT res. It's too bad this company has no clue how lucky they have been to have such great employees at the first point of contact!!

Now passeners will need to brush up on their Spanish language skills so when the website has it's frequent "hiccups," they can now call El Salvador for help!!!!!

Sad, very sad. 🙁
