Uh, who is Rick? My name is....not Rick. I definitely do not live in OK.Rick,
Lets do a little fact search.
Myself and others have worked under TWU negotiated concessions for over 8 years.
Meanwhile, because of AMFA drives on AA property you have made over $100,000.00 per year.
Who lost and who gained?
Your pay has gone up while your job is about to be outsourced. And that is under the TWU and you claim AMFA does.
Most of us brought skill to the table upon employment by AA,
You brought nothing but a birth certificate showing you are related to a former employee,
btw, when your job gets outsourced, do you get to remain a $100,000.00 per year organizer? Or do ou hit the street with the rest of your TWU shafted brohters?
There have been AMFA drives on the property for more than 30 years. Why was my pay not raised to stellar levels then? In the late 90s the airlines were booming and none of them wanted labor unrest. It was the perfect storm of favorable circumstances for unions. If AMFA were that good at negotiating, why did they not get $45 an hour at AS now? AS is way better off now in the Northwest than any airline. They drove off the mighty WN out of their backyard and have no real competition. Shouldn't AMFA had strong leverage to get a better deal? Maybe it was that no strike clause with interest based arbitration.
I made over $100K a year before AMFA actually working OT/FT.
I am not a TWU organizer, never have been.
I have worked everything from general aviation, manufacturing, engine overhaul, airframe overhaul, helicopters, and line maintenance. I had way more than 36 months of experience to skip being a junior.
Like I said, if the CBA gets abrogated. I may not be doing ETOPS checks on days but I will still be doing PS checks on nights.
Enjoy Dave.
