What's new

Injunction is out

Yet, In all of the time that has elapsed CO & UA pilots have managed to NOT sue each other multiple times! I wonder why that is the case?
Simple.

1)manage expectations realistically on both sides since day one.
2)Unity

UAL MEC Update for Friday, August 27, 2010

Letter From United MEC Merger Committee

"Fellow United Pilots,

Your Merger Committee is about to enter the negotiation phase of the Seniority List Integration (SLI) process. We have spent the past several months accumulating our pilot seniority data, exchanging the pilot seniority list with the CAL Merger Committee and analyzing the CAL seniority list. In the upcoming integrated seniority list negotiation phase, we want to get to an “apples to apples” comparison of our respective pilot groups to the maximum extent possible. Please note that the seniority list negotiation phase is separate and apart from JCBA (Joint Collective Bargaining Agreement) negotiations being conducted by the Joint Negotiating Committee. The negotiating committees deal with the contract while the merger committees deal with seniority list integration. In past seniority list integrations, the two sides have typically been able to reach some agreement on treatment of pilots on military leave, sick leave/disability, etc. during the seniority list integration negotiations."

Proving yourself wrong over and over again Clax/Nos.

Notice the bold parts of what YOU posted. Try a little reading comprehension.

1) The SLI process starts with the snapshot and exchange of seniority data so the merger committees can begin the work (separately) on analyzing each others data.

2) Notice reference to the UPCOMING negotiations phase. (hasn't happened yet.)
Not one meeting has taken place to negotiate the seniority as it is prohibited by ALPA merger policy. All one has to do is read the policy to prove your ignorance.

3) Notice reference to the SLI negotiation being separate from JCBA negotiations. Until there is a tentative agreement the SLI process does not go past the exchange of information.

I know you really hate being WRONG. So it's amusing that continue to post things that are so ignorant and misinformed. And Jim is right... UA as closed more sections of the JCBA in the last year than USAPA has managed to do in their entire existence. All without a single law suit or fist fight among the pilots. Amazing!

Hey jetz, hear you have a pretty low number on the USAirways list. Low, as in west furloughed!

Ohhhh! So now I'm a junior west pilot, huh?

How many 767 [jetz] do the west have? How many west pilots even knew about this site until your merger? How many west pilots have sparred here with you and others since before 2002 (on this web site's predecessor) at every rumor of a UA/US merger-buyout-rescue-secret corporate transaction, about the same old DOH BS you guys are arguing about to this day? Speaking of which, you DO realize I'm 10 days senior to you around here!

Nice try. The truth is out. The obsession is perfectly clear now. Furloughed UAL, now from the west. OUCH!

Point is now proven.

Thanks BS.
Yup. We all know that Luv and BlkSw, along with the rest of the USAPA circus clowns, are all men(and women) of truth and character and their word is as good as gold! 😉

OMG! I just thew up a little in my mouth while typing that!

BTW Move2, I was at a council meeting yesterday (Yeah, UAL ALPA lets furloughed west pilots attend... didn't ya know?). Someone forwarded a resolution to the floor trying to compel the LEC and MEC to adopt an agreement for a separate list where any future furloughs that could occur would be done by LOS. Of course the CO pilots would never agree to such a thing, and the council defeated the resolution. With my help. (Oh yeah, for any of the lunatics following this thread, ALPA lets furloughed pilots from other airlines vote at council meetings. NOT!) But just goes to show that the "gold standard" of DOH/LOS is NOT considered the gold standard by anyone but the USAPA lunatics and few others on the fringe.

There was much debate both on and off the record, but the overwhelming sentiment was that anything seniority related belonged in the hands of the merger committee, not manipulated by LEC or MEC members, and we would abide by the final outcome of that. No one wanted to interfere with the the established and agreed upon process, nor did anyone want to disrupt the unity we enjoy with our CO counterparts. USAirways was brought up several times as an example of extreme disfunction. Funny how reality is so out of sink with what your east counterparts like to believe.

Keep up the good fight.
