What's new

Injunction is out

I don't know. Calloway Golf, are you offended?
I haven't been offended by anything in at least fifteen years. Being offended is a personal choice and I see no benefit to giving other people control over such things in my life. Carry on then.

Pretty good way to live, maybe I can get there someday, obviously I'm not there now.

Sorry for this arrogant west pilot, pretty typical of them.

Not typical at all.

As a matter of fact, I think I pegged who Move2 was when he started bragging about his flying skills. There is only one West pilot I know of who believes he is infallible and above reproach, ironically when his skills are marginal at best. The guy works hard, is well liked, but it just ain't all there.

Not saying Move2 is that guy, just reminds me of him.

At the risk of being called "Master of the Obvious" I think perhaps the "jig" is up for the East Pilots and maybe a search for common ground?
Seriously to those on the East, what's the next move? You've spent millions in legal fees with the prospect of more in the not to distant future AND lost a greater number of millions in Pay.

As for the West, the only thing worse than a sore loser is a sore winner. Gloating is so unbecoming and reflects poorly on you. That and pendulums do swing and you may not always be in the sunshine

Hawk, welcome back. Remember, ALL USAPA pilots have an injunction on them, including the West. They got what the wished for, they too are now severely constrained should some issue, (only time will tell) upset them. Aerobahn is in place in their PHX hive, ready to go. Seriously, there are injunctions on American, Delta, United, and now this place. This is NORMAL ops! Welcome to the state of US Airlines. Just wait for the Flight Attendant group. Not happy either. CHAOS on the horizon. I would say, it is up to Parker, but he has EVERYBODY exactly where he wants them. There is no next move, unless both sides of this argument compromise on something.

I came to that decision a very long time ago. I basically break down people's words that would offend others in the following manner:

1. I agree with their statement even if I don't like it. Therefore, why should I be offended if I agree with someone concerning something negative about me? For example, my wife claims my biggest fault is that I tune her out when she is talking to me. This is absolutely true because I am a single-task person. If I'm cooking dinner I'm not listening. If I'm watching TV, I'm not listening to anything else. My fault is that I can only single-task and also that I don't put her before whatever other task I might be engaged in. Her fault is that she still doesn't accept after all these years that she can't expect me to listen if she hasn't first asked me to stop whatever else I am doing so she can have a dialog. Still, I'm not offended when she makes remarks about my listening failures.

2. I disagree with their statement because I know or believe I know more than they do about the subject. If I know the truth and they do not, why would I be offended at their false statements? If they are open to dialog and perhaps teaching then my being offended only impedes their progression to a more correct viewpoint. If they aren't open to dialog or teaching, then I might have pity on them for being willfully ignorant, but I see no benefit in being offended by those who are willfully misinformed and closed to hearing the truth.

Of course there can be misunderstandings or words said in jest with no intent to injure another, but people often take things wrong without seeking to know the person's intent. Communication is a tricky thing and is often the downfall or relationships and even many businesses. No matter what faults I have, I just chose not to be offended at the words of others.

while on the other side, rests no legally cognizable harm to USAPA because
an injunction would only require it to satisfy its existing legal duty under the RLA. To the extent
that USAPA is concerned that an injunction would hamper its legitimate safety efforts, this
Court declares that it in no way intends to interfere with the duty of pilots in command to ensure
the safety of their passengers and equipment. The court’s injunction therefore should not
dissuade good faith efforts to ensure the safe operation of the airline.
This injunction appears to be null and void . I love the Capt who threw off most of the pax off last night in PHX when they started a mutiny on board after a a few bleed duct leaks with a couple of return to gates, must have read the USA today. I can see it now all these messages to the dispatcher, I'm a gallon below min on oil in number two is it OK to take the plane to PHL.

Still chasing your tails I see. Pretty easy to get your stunted minds to do that.

Got word that the decision will bs announced soon after the 4th. The injunction allowes the company a bit of cover and they want USAPA to have complied with the court's order first. That way all you USAPA lemmings will have gotten your orders to quit making frivolous write-ups.

In fact, you should have gotten your first one already. Do be good US Airways because Cleary's financial future depends on it.

Nice work with the quote tags. You old codgers sure do have trouble keeping up with tech.

Here's a tip: keep the number of brackets EVEN.

OK Johnny, we will try and keep up    Sorry about the Red Sox...... 😱

Losing pitcher Jonathan Papelbon, left, and Marco Scutaro of the Boston Red Sox sit in the dugout, dejected, after the Baltimore Orioles scored twice in the ninth inning for a 4-3 win at Oriole Park at Camden Yards in Baltimore, Maryland, Wednesday, September 28, 2011. Good riddance. A season that started with the potential to be one of the greatest in Red Sox history instead ended in unbearably ignominious fashion Wednesday night.
Best Team Ever? Try Worst Chokers Ever. Or Most Unlikable Team Ever. Or Team That Once and for All Makes the Patriots No. 1 in Boston . . . Forever.
The Red Sox were euthanized by the Orioles on Wednesday night when $142 million man Carl Crawford failed to catch a sinking liner in the ninth, allowing the O’s to walk off with a 4-3 victory.

That's low swan. Real low. Come to Fenway and gloat.
