No longer a counter dragon :-D
Was just checking flights for a relative and noticed that on 4 DEC we are not flying PHL-CDG roundtrip, nor the PHL-LGW roundtrip.

Anyone have an idea what is going on? I even checked the returns on the 5th of DEC and there are no flights.

It seems to be isolated, whatever it is.

Probably swapping out a/c. There seems to be a lot of things going on due to the upgrading of the 767.

Its not just Dec 4th. Check some other flights. We're trying to get back from Europe next week and no MUC flight on either the 30th or 31st and no AMS flight on the 30th either. It looks like maybe a plane out and they are cutting a flight once or twice a week to cover the outage? Its sporadic for a lot of cities from the end of Oct on.

There was a report on another board that a A333 was sent down to Alabama or where ever that maintance center is, sorry i don't know off hand right now.

that would make sense if only PARIS was axed, but it appears that 2 flights with A330s on the same day are cancelled....

Trying not to sound like an idiot, but could this just be for additional maintenance time (C checks take a week, right?)

they are pre-cancelling flights because of low pax loads.

this is not a rumor, this is fact.

it's been going on since the beginning of last month.

No PHL-LGW flight yesterday, wasn't canceled, just not on the schedule. I found that surprising.

Heard they are reconfiguring the A330's...removing seats. Also check out the Blocks (Oct, Nov, Dec) several 4 day europe trips to accomodate this.

The A330's are losing one row of envoy to add more coach seats. Also the 767's are all getting complete interior redos. New Envoy seats have been ordered but won't make it until after next summer.

I am sure there is a MX or Painting reason the AC are out of Service. And of course they do these things doing the slow part of the year. The first week of December being perhaps the slowest time all year!

I thought the entire 2nd Envoy cabin(rows 6 and 7) was coming out. What's the final net increase of coach seats/loss of J seats? Does this mean the sleepers stay for now?
