Iraq Collapsing

So, how many US lives is it worth?

Neat thing about the US is that we are all entitle to our opinions.

Willing slave?  lol

Likely hundreds of thousands of Iraqis that made the fatal mistake of trusting us murdered? Well...We can at least be finally and fully done with any Fantasyland pretense that you actually "care about people", and per willing slave? Yep. You most certainly are, by even your own admission. Your sort would be among the very first to find yourselves face-down in a ditch, were it not for others willing to place themselves in harm's way to protect you.

ANY, even the slightest and most pathetic possible semblance of an American, you ain't. We're done here, willing slave.
@East1, Ms Tree is an Atheist so that last line was put in there just for Ms Tree.

I'm sure Uncle Joe Stalin is very proud of Ms Tree. This nation was founded not on collectivism but on individual Liberty.Three-fifths to two-thirds of the federal budget consists of taking property from one American and giving it to another. Were a private person to do the same thing, we'd call it theft. When government does it, we euphemistically call it income redistribution, but that's exactly what thieves do -- redistribute income. Income redistribution not only betrays the founders' vision, it's a sin in the eyes of God.

Indeed. "Uncle Joe Stalin"s regime is properly credited with coining the term "useful idiots", after all.

"it's a sin in the eyes of God." I'll never even begin to presume on His thoughts, but I'd think so is war, which should only, EVER be engaged in when no other options avail for the survival/welfare of a people and their culture. I've long been a fan of General Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson's thoughts = "War is the sum of all evil." BUT...When swords are drawn, all "nice" and "politically correct" notions must needs be fully cast aside, lest the bloodshed be for nothing, and no victory ever achieved.

The problem is this...the 5,000 American Soldiers who died in Iraq were not protecting me.  They were protecting the Iraqi oil fields.  Saddam and Iraq posed no threat to me or the US.  Why did Bush negotiate a withdrawal that left the Iraqis who trusted us to be murdered?  You do realize that the withdrawal plan was Bush's....don't you?

Still dancing around an answer.  I'm guessing you do not want to admit you have no idea how long we would have to stay or how many US lives you are willing to put on the table.

We were in Iraq for 10 years.  What more can be done exactly?  Do you honestly think the US can bring peace to Iraq?

Your sort would be the Cpt on the Titanic telling everyone it will be OK if we just keep trying.

Sigh!...Precious and cute little flowers surrounding the wrong tree here. I put my own life on the line for the USA, as has my family for nearly two centuries now, (with the proudly admitted "disagreement" during 1861-1865) and my wonderful stepsons, and I'd have personally been fine with conquering the entire middle east in '91, or most very certainly, in the wake of 9-11, and killing whatever batch lots of enemies as was necessary to ensure America's safety, no matter the number of such, be it wiping out entire nations or whatever. Any enemy that's bent on world dominance, to the detriment of America, (religion of "peace"/etc) must needs be thwarted, lest our own nation fall. It's just "politically correct" little fools who can afford to "think" otherwise.

Placing young Americans in harm's way, to play the part of supposed "police", into any area with people who, by reasons of us "playing nice", haven't felt themselves fully conquered, well...that's only "logical" to mindless politicians and fully flies in the actual face of human nature. Comparisons with Germany or Japan don't apply, since both those empires saw their cities incinerated, their people killed by the millions, and were left not even the slightest shred of doubt as to who "won"....But we nowadays just kill and allow our young to die for meaningless "sport", it seems.

To answer your question, I'll simply ask of you this: Since you supposedly, so much "care" about people...Would you willingly die to save, say 100,000 Iraqi people? If not/WHY not?...Aren't you all about "caring" for others? 😉

The Solution was and is simple. We marched in, we can just march out. Combat wise we already have marched out. All we have there now are mercenaries, I meant "Contractors"

When you hold yourself up to be a beacon of individual Liberty and Freedom then it's helpful to lead by example instead of being a schoolyard bully.

As for ISIS, and the Iraqi Army? Let them kill each other and let Allah sort it out.

That much is without question. From anything even approaching a professional military perspective: This was never set to be an actual, no-holds-barred war to be won. We've not seen that since 1941-'45. How could it ever have possibly been? After all; we've nowadays the finest "government" that disgusting saudi and the sick like's money can buy...? We should pull ALL remaining Americans out immediately, if but to save us from more wasted lives lost, especially since no help will be given our previous "allies" in the region, but this buffoon obama yet insists on playing games, every bit as much as did his equally-brain-dead predecessor...just meat puppets heeding the call of their corporate, versus ANY semblance of the American People as masters. It all just makes me nauseous to even think about it anymore.

No, I would not willing die to save them.  Most of 'them' hate us as much as they hate those that they are fighting.  We were not welcome as liberators.  I am all for caring for other but they have to care for them selves first.  The last 10 years in Iraq have shown us that they do not care for them selves or others.

It is not our country.  It is not our fight.  They have been fighting for thousands of years.  You think the US lives wasted there will change that?  DO you really think that there is a peaceful future for Iraq?  I don't.  I'm not willing to sacrifice my life for the Titanic.  It's going to sink and it cannot be stopped.

So you don't care about the 100,000 either?

"They have been fighting for thousands of years." Wow! What a truly profound discovery on your part! Did you figure that out all by yourself? Have you NO/zip/ZERO actual knowledge of our illustrious species' actual history? We've been slaughtering each other since our time began....

Oh!  My bad! It's all magically "different" now, isn't it? After all; we've become "sensitive" so all our enemies must've become so as well...? 😉  https://www.google.com/search?q=obama+riding+unicorn&client=firefox-a&hs=4ok&rls=org.mozilla:en-US😱fficial&channel=sb&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=Nt2gU5D2Ioq1sATa7ICIBQ&ved=0CCEQsAQ&biw=1920&bih=919#facrc=_&imgdii=_&imgrc=K__olOlcPKsXnM%253A%3BEQ1wXGvmATYKgM%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.verumserum.com%252Fmedia%252F2009%252F04%252Fobama-unicorn2.jpg%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.verumserum.com%252F%253Fp%253D5152%3B355%3B273

Here is a pertinent quote for you:
