Every single AGC and GC took cuts when we did.

When UA went into ESOP, all the 141 AGCs who even weren't UA employees took cuts, you didn't when that occurred, as you were US, not UA.
Go away is a figure of speech you have every right to be on here ,you don't have to keep defending that. It's your prerogative,  weird  since you don't work here but your prerogative.  I didn't know that AGS took cuts I stand corrected even though I would like Tim to confirm this. For the moment I will believe you if they all took cuts where did my dues money go ? that surely didn't go down. I will be leaving this forum after we get a joint contract until then you will have to deal with my antics after that she's all yours for I have absolutely no interest

WP, if 700 starts to get your goat, just do what I do and ........Delete, that really irritates chit out of him, like a bad case of foot fungus

He's not getting my goat on here but if I worked with him and he constantly corrected me that would be annoying. But on this site he can do what he wants lets face we are on here because we are bored and as you know I'm just as annoying as the next guy but I don't take any of this serious . it's just for entertainment.

I proposed pay cuts for AGC's in 2002 at the convention and I drafted a district bylaw as our ORD delegates had the support of EWR, LAX, both SFO, and ORD. When I presented the bylaw, Canale called for a vote, but most district delegates are Pollyanna's and voted it down. I proposed the bylaw because we were getting hammered after 911, but the AGC pay went from $75,000 to $96 thousand from 2001 till 2003. No AGC took any pay cut of the sort that I remember for 911 or around that time. I wasn't really involved with the IAM during 2005 or so, maybe they took a pay cut when UA went bankrupt, dunno. But, if they did, they were prolly still around $90,000, but I do know that they gave themselves pay raises in I think 2005 or 2006 that was a $10,000 pay raise that brought them up to $96,000 and then gave themselves pay raises till it went to $99 in 2008. That's when Delaney asked me if I want to run his campaign and "Get Canale". I said, "Yep". The rest is history.

So, not sure what 700 is saying, i'll have to check the LM2's to see what happened during the time I wasn't involved. But I can tell you first hand that I put a bylaw on the floor and they shot it down back in 2002 and gave themselves big pay raises from 2000-2003 at least, but I don't remember any pay cut unless it was just temporary. A pay cut would have to be temporary cuz, like I said, they were making $96,000 or so around 2006.

So you are calling Tony Giammarco, Bill Freighbetger, Vic Mazzacco and the others liars?

700 why did they take cuts because there were less members? My dues definitely didn't go down

They took cuts as the PDGC made them and your wages are reduced, dues were reduced the following year as dues are based on your hourly wage.

Tim are the TWU members at ORD  showing any concern with negotiations considering the IAMS UAL  TAs or the recent  Spirit contract? If it wasn't for the new UAL CEO  stepping in they would still have that terrible contract

I remember they might have changed the formula but I don't remember  a reduction in dues. Guess you can use the old man jokes you haven't used then lately

Happy 4th everyone!!
Since I celebrated with family yesterday, thought I would get on here in case anyone has questions. I just want to say about some post that many things will be mirrored to CS. For example I have read some post about holidays and that we will get the same as CS, so why are we taking so long to get this article done? Well I can tell you for sure, that presently, the company is not offering fleet the same thing as CS. If we achieve the same as CS currently has, it will be because of many back and forth exchanges with the company. Some posters seem to think that we can just go in and say " ok this is what we want " and the company says Ok. Well I can assure all of you that this doesn't happen. The company like I have said before, makes you claw and scratch for everything. Everyone needs to focus on where the fault lies. It is not with the union. Or the association. We are fine. But the company just doesn't give things to be giving them because they like us.

You're saying in the end our contract won't be in the same ball park as Passenger service? It is with our competitors isn't the company taking that into account. now you might have to scratch and claw . As a former LUS I'm prepared to go into AA's medical and have our scope go from one to maybe seven that's some give and take. All my opinion of course
