You're saying in the end our contract won't be in the same ball park as Passenger service? It is with our competitors isn't the company taking that into account. now you might have to scratch and claw . As a former LUS I'm prepared to go into AA's medical and have our scope go from one to maybe seven that's some give and take. All my opinion of course

You just copied my post. Please show me on there where I stated that our agreement will not be in the same ballpark as CS???? How did you get that out of my post? In fact, I would say that so far in the 20 + articles we have a t/a on, we will have a better contract than CS. As I would hope so, since they had to deal with the majority of their members at LAA not even being under a contract. Taking that into consideration, they did a good job. I was merely pointing out that some people have post as if 10 holidays is a given because CS has it. You might in the end be able to post that you were right all along and we end up with 10. I'm just telling everyone that's reading, that this is t isn't a given like many think. It will be after hours and hours of back and forth with the company.

You were probably referring to me CB. What my "mirror" was comparing to was dispatch, and what I said was we would probably get the ten and the company knows it. But in my opinion, what they are doing is trying to see where you guys will bend and allow a concession to be extracted in return for the "10". I have never questioned the work it takes to get a good contract, and I have no doubt there is a ton of going back and forth. But in the end, I do believe we will get an acceptable contract and I do believe certain areas will mirror others. The battle obviously will be to do it without giving up something in return. We are a multi billion dollar profit company!

By the way, good to see you were paying attention when Peppermint Patty was dozing...

Lol. I always pay attention. But no it wasn't you and your dispatch quote. Someone stated that it was basically a given that we would end up with the same holidays as CS so why was it taking so long. It takes so long because that's how long the company makes it. Plain and simple. And yes there will be many mirror images in the contract. There always has been, or your NC is t doing their job. But it isn't a given like some posters want others to believe. I'm sure everyone on dispatch and CS negotiating team will tell you that whatever they achieved in their contracts, did t come easy without many hours of back and forth with the company.

CB maybe you could explain on here the seniority and the arbitration how and why that is now an issue?

cltrat...the arbitrator is there to gather the seniority information from the company and the union then form the lists...if the IAM and TWU agree on everything he won't have to make any decisions...that is quite unlikely, especially in M&R...in fleet the tie breaker for same dates and date of hire vs company seniority are the two main issues...LAA does not have a date of hire so the dates would probably need to be vetted on that side to help with the tie breakers...by the way, date of hire is to be used per the seniority integration document.

Tim are the TWU members at ORD  showing any concern with negotiations considering the IAMS UAL  TAs or the recent  Spirit contract? If it wasn't for the new UAL CEO  stepping in they would still have that terrible contract
I work with the laa ord and they mostly hate this association. Most that ive talked to are clueless on spirit or united ripoffs.

It's not a issue for fleet. All 3 sides ( IAM, TWU, company ) have agreed how seniority will be integrated. As with some of the recent mergers, a arbitrator has been called in to rule if the agreement is fair and equitable. The arbitrator made it clear in our meeting that he is only there to determine if the agreement is fair and equitable, and to also listen to any concerns the seniority team might have. Our only issues on the fleet side are some issues with the LAA Clp and tower positions. LAA agents always carried their seniority when coming from envoy ( American eagle ) into one of these groups. However if they went from envoy to the ramp ( TWU ) they did not carry their time. This is basically the only issues with fleet.

I know M&R are going to ORD tomorrow for the seniority committee meeting.

CB: do you know what the next articles will be negotiated with at the next round of talks?
It's hard to say Robbed. We have several open right now going back and forth. Probably the most interesting to the members would be holidays and overtime.

In Jetnet they have posted 115 Full Time Fleet job openings in DFW. Something seems to be happening for that city? A poster on FB has claimed they're already over headcount by about 70 people per day and OT has all but dried up.

Anyone have a clue why DFW is requesting so many people?
