Tim  dont forget DL ramps are not all completely mainline DL  some parts are outsourced and work along side DL employees but with a different company    Some of their larger cities are not even DL mainline for ramp   So while in the past the IAM and the company tossed numbers of cities out  they did add 2 at the time and during the 2014 agreement we got back a number of cities and took over LAA cities in some areas and vice versa
I hear ya, I know they have Delta global. I'm referring to 42 stations that are Delta mainline. Delta mainline does a lot of stuff like working their own cargo centers as well in 17 stations. True, they have ready reserve that subsidizes their permanent part time and Full Time, but we have vendors that subsidize most of our stations and then subsidize our full time with part timers who pay twice medical and half pension.

If the I'll Ask Management were to win an election at Delta, Kev would immediately be displaced or sent to the street in MSN as the IAM has consistently agreed with management that small and midsize stations ought to be contracted out. Never mind cargo will be wiped out immediately, plus it would take 7-10 years just to get a pay raise. Oh and profit sharing would be gone immediately, just as Continental threatened the Teamsters until there was a contract.

No way in heck should any delta ramper consider an IAM card. Look at Spirit, Frontier, etc., ever since the AMFA ruling, these carriers just contract out all union people who get a ground union, AND the union AGREES. See Spirit where Spirit management tossed the IAM a bone, with ONLY FLL, to get 200 more dues payers as long as the IAM agreed that all other stations can be contracted out and agreed to abandon pension/health care, etc., and agreed to $14.25 wages after 8 years. BTW, Mcdonalds 8 year employee makes over $18.

Why bother with a union if unions are so watered down that they are useless and rip you off. The IAM cut such an awful deal at Spirit that the IAM secretely agreed that the Spirit members don't have to pay the required $64 in Local 368, but only $30 Bucks. What about LUS workers who only have 1 or 2 years, why do LUS have to pay the full $64 whether part time or full time? These pimps are pimps and give a bad name to Labor. Labor left this industry and packed its bags a long time ago and now we have pimp daddies. We will only get what Parker wants us to have. Everything else is BS because these guys don't know what they are doing and have already rolled over.

I barf when I read their updates about how the company is delaying. If so, then why doesn't the union organize informational picketing? I'll tell you, because there are no negotiations happening. Period. CB and others may think so but what happens on the phone calls from Parker to Sito is the real story. Remember, the negotiation team is really just a front. They aren't in on many things and have the time they are at the pension building or down the hall.

But!.......But! aren't these guys in the room doing negotiation stuff? Why would you give them the heave hoe?
you do realize these guys aren't always in the room? And, the negotiation committee is honestly just a front. Most of the time, the negotiations are handled just between a couple people. And although they may truly believe they matter, these talks were most likely already wrapped up by Sito and Parker's team a long time ago. Nobody is delaying anything, certainly not the company. If the company was being a prick, then the TWU/IAM would have people informational picketing. Just bring back Parker's deal, as another gent said, it's prolly going to be pretty close to what the CWA has. One doesn't have to be a rocket scientist to know that, especially that the window is closing.

Weez talking chit about me I thought you liked me up to last weekend. I'm probably the most quiet about rotating days off. I probably could get a steady shift dumping Lavs this may be my true calling . Believe me there are going to be a lot of unhappy campers
the weasel has me blocked now as I don't put up with his BS and call him out as the liar he is. But, I've concluded that if you say anything about 700 then he flips out. It's almost like the weasel gave 700 his password. Videos are coming. 2 of them. Already done.

What is all this video chit? YouTube? Give me a link!

My understanding was that we would be getting at least what the UAL rampers got. $200 per year of service signing bonus !!!!!! That has been going around the CLT break rooms. Sounds fair, probably should be more!!!!

Well looky there 700, someone can actually correct and/or explain something without being a horses ass. Take note!

Ever consider that he bahaves a certain way as a response to how people interact with him? You once had some unkind (F You) for me when you didn't like something I said. Actually more than once as I can recall.

The emotion you receive is usually a direct response to the one you illicit.
Comparing our conversations to mine and 700 is "apples and oranges".
It is not the least bit surprising that you would defend him as strongly as you do...two peas in a pod.
Finally, playing the "you get what you give" card is a correct view. Only problem is, you have it backwards!
There is absolutely no doubt 700 has a ton of knowledge when in comes to anything airline and union related.
The only problem is he has zero idea how to deliver it. I will always call out someone who talks to me very disrespectful.
And to be honest W, this really doesn't concern you, it's an issue between 700 and I. But again, two peas in a pod!

And now I will do something 700 has never done in my 2446 posts. I apologize for dragging this topic into a conversation about individuals and not JCBA talks. I will also admit I hammered 700 for doing so, hence that makes me a hypocrite. Again, my bad, I was wrong and I apologize.

The anticipation is killing us. If they were taped the same day you must have been passed out drunk during a good part of the last tape.

I don't know if anything you are saying is true but if you remember when we first voted the IAM in we waited 5 years for a contract. That is 5  years the IAM  wasn't collecting dues. I still think, though I have no proof the IAM was getting paid off or somehow in bed with the company.
