JCBA Negotiations and updates for AA Fleet

I don't think I would disagree with a word of 28L's assessment... even the breakrooms remind me of prison pods.  It is one, big "Gotcha Game" with Managers walking around looking for write-ups.  It doesn't help that the facilities force people to work outside in the heat as the bag room areas cannot be closed off and in a setting summer sun, one gets cooked.
 
I attempt to look at the situation based upon how I see people who come into PHX voluntarily and after less than a year, they are looking to move back!  I hope to be out of here in less than 6 months myself, as I cannot tolerate this place any longer.

not sure who to blame but the PHX situation is an absolute disaster according to everyone I know from PHX and transfers out of PHX. Once they go outside of PHX, or transfer into PHX, they realize they can breathe without being threatened or feeling that someone is cutting deals or not doing enough to build a better environment.

American named "Cargo airline of the year". Management showed its appreciation by providing food in ord cargo.

I really hope management understands that its cargo business and the recognition the company gets from customers is directly tied to its own employees.

Cargo is a tremendous money making business but it will go south as quick as Uniteds went south if our employees arent utilized. Same with catering. Hopefully management understands.

And I was speaking figuratively. And who said that ograc in his small station shouldn't be taken care of? Not me and certainly not ahead of a newbie. 

But if it ever came down to a worst case scenario are you prepared to have to make a sacrifice for him and his maybe 15 other coworkers to stay in their city if that's' their choice?

What is, would, or could that cost be? And should thousands of others have to pay it if that were the case?

 
Actually, since we insourced the below wing work from Envoy 1.5 years ago the below wing number is now in the low 50s last I checked. I do appreciate yours and Tim's support and opinion. Unfortunately, most of the flight activity we picked up is regional service. If scope protection must be defined by flight activity... let's base it on all departures. Hell... these regionals departures require the same staffing the mainline departures do.

So, looking at it reasonably, being half way there, yet none of the "most important" articles even being discussed (and of course a battle possibly looming with the outsourcing), smart money says there will be no agreement by September. Some of that money even says January (12 months) at the earliest.
Many folks I have spoken with in the past couple of months actually thought June, and July at the latest were the months. I cringed when they would say that.

Despite the 10 people on here most people are getting antsy .I'm LUS and never thought I would make $24.39. But still the feeling is we are out $1000 a month I thought we would be done by now that's the way it sounded at first.
