And you learn to go after "ANYONE" who try's to keep you from the mission (I thought) you had which is an enforceable "Empolyment Contract"
If you don't then you have ZERO credibility.
Look, this forum isnt what it used to be. Ive counted about 12 posters here. The only other ones that monitor this site is management, both labor orgs, and the NC.

I finished two boxes of popcorn today reading your post. Im sure you arent serious cuz you had me rolling.

+2 for weasle

From the "reps" I speak with, who do talk to folks in the room, feel it will be before years in. I agree with W, we will see.
AANOTOK pick a topic that the guys still have left to negotiate and let's talk about it. Try to get the thread back on track?

How about PTers being included in the mix for picking up any shift they want for OT.

Your thoughts?

The "mission" is the advancement of labor and the lifting of our craft.

Don't be surprised when nonsense gets called out- whether it's championing unequal pay for the same work, or mentioning someone's divorce.

Capital already thinks we're children; no need to prove them right.

BTW, I already told you "othering" doesn't phase me. If it makes you feel better to do it, have at it.
So your ok with Tim telling your group not to organize and post on Anti-Union, Pro-Delta pages on Facebook bashing the IAM and posting misinformation?

Go home. I've lost interest in what you have to say anymore. I really am fed up with you now.

No joke.

700 forget it. Drop this guy. He doesn't care.

P Rex and Charlie Brown are in the room and they have posted their feelings, I would think they would know more than reps who arent in the room.
700, please, I will ask you right now stay out of my conversations. I speak with reps who have conversations with NC members every day. I would think they are hearing the same info...I have seen/heard what those two have had to say, and how do you know that's not exactly what I'm being told by others in negotiations...geez

I'm not going to chase him all over FB. The NoWay crowd is irrelevant anyway.

The voice of dissent goes a long way towards not settling for any ol' union (or DL) just to have one. It's critical to get it right.

All groups should be aiming for the stars right now, including the AA NC's...

I would personally be against it unless the PT had his name on the list to go FT.  I would offer it to someone who treats this as their lively hood and not a benefit or second job.

Im thinking a ta by august or september. Otherwise, they realize they can miss the window of opportunity. And if that happens, im sure there could be a movement to take the path of our stews or pilots and bring a conclusion to having 2 labor organizations tripping over themselves.

I could be wrong but id say 90% of the floor HATES having the twins and would prefer 1. Like i said earlier, i think we have to support the association but if they cant finish the job timely then...

Its gonna be hard for them to screw up negotiations, and imo negotiations has been pretty productive after they finally started negotiating.

That's actually an interesting concept. Don't think it's doable though. A part timer can sign up for OT if he has a transfer in to FT in his station. If he refuses the upgrade he is barred from signing for one full year.

Just flying off the top of my head here.

Nothing wrong with them signing up and getting it, as long as the full time list is exhausted. If your on the list to go FT, then yes, I would be OK with them being awarded by OT hours worked.

Not sure exactly how it works in the IAM contract? It may be a separation of status that you can sign up and I'm sure of course once the list is exhausted its a free for all for warm bodies.
