Weez Why ask you when I work in the DL terminal? As far as I see the people I know for 35+ years are still here. I don't know the circumstances, is it instead of going to a contract company they decided to go to the ready reserve?Were these people offered jobs elsewhere in DL system? A practice that AA and US has done more times than I would like to remember. I'll show all the guys commuting everyday from EWR your post

It's more of a practice outside of strong pro labor States like NY. These people mostly work in Right To Work States where a company has almost unlimited ability to hire and fire as they see fit. Firing these people is a cost savings for the company and I can almost guarantee that management is encouraged to do so and probably receives bonuses based on keeping their Station Budgets within certain parameters.

I thought those guys got a chance to come back home since the merger.  I know many had to leave, but I thought they were able to get back since they took back the ramp.
