What does "being in a box" mean?

I work in a small office looking at claims and other things like aircraft appearance and inventories. I'm a senior guy so Weaasles source was envious so there is the negativity. What he never understood if I came out  being senior I would have bumped everyone down and believe it or not if I came out I would do less work

Depends. Would they have gone back as PT? Better off going to LGA or JFK and working some extra hours to cover the commute.

Plus (doubt it but) if there had been a layoff on that courtesy recall they wouldn't have been able to get back in on our side so easy.

IMO (If that's ok) they made the right choice.

But again no matter how much you think the guy deserves it, telling anyone that they are directly responsible for people losing their jobs when they weren't is WRONG. It's very cold man.    A good buddy of mine works there we talk weekly. I think they hired 7 off the street. I also think everyone including the company felt we would have a contract quickly (I'm not going to back down from this topic).
