The speakers on our work computers stink. And I really like to disseminate the question and response. When Parker lies I've noticed a body language routine he has. (No joke)

it's a 2 minute clip

The association announced  the Javits appointment like it was something positive I see it as a step back. I thought all the seniority  issues were worked out.

CB already totally covered the issues for our group and they were extremely minuscule.

And since the NMB ruled the Association valid guess who will have no leg to stand on if he wants to issue a legal challenge.

NMB = Federal Government.

Next?

Parker is currently offering sub standard on retirement compensation, so I want that rectified then if he wants to pay me comparable to UAL.

(Only speaking wages here)

Try plugging some earbuds into the PC.....They work well where the speaker does not.

Lol. Actually just watched it and had to put my ear to the PC to hear it. Yes it does appear that he waffled somewhat. He did say in the beginning though that he would offer raises "consistent" to what was offered to other groups.

So to me I'm sticking to the guns that I'm going to be owed 3% above the top rate out there between Delta or United whichever is greater.

My advice to you is to lower your expectations, or start drinking heavily.

He let you know in no uncertain terms that it's not possible to keep jumping to be the industry leader. He also stated that it would be "inline", not +7 or even +3, that is no longer on the teleprompter. I'm not saying it won't happen, I'm just saying that my confidence has taken a hit...My fear is a "+" will now be covered by a concession that wasn't previously part of the proposal or was on of the "set aside" items. The longer it goes was once something I felt benefited us, now I'm not so sure.

Again WE are given less than all other contracts I've read outside of AA for retirement compensation. The 3% was always nothing more than (smoke and mirrors) given to the front end to compensate for the loss on the back end.

Although $29.87 is still a very good wage IMO, at least $30.77 is where I'm setting my (unmoving) expectations. (Not counting shift differential)

BTW again don't forget. 6 months ago the lock in rate was $26.54. Even with Parkers last comment we're still above that one coming up.

The 3% over UAL comes to $1,872 per year. so if they delay us getting a contract at say $1,000 a month. If they delay us ten months that should cover the 3% increase over a 5 year contract. Grasping at straw? too much time on my hands? perhaps. Bob check my math

Don't forget to consider into any math equations you do. Extra hours worked, contributions to your 401k and an increase in your Social Security since you will be earning more.

I'm extremely reasonable in my expectations and we all should hold the same expectations.
