JCBA Negotiations and updates for AA Fleet

If we were to start a new poll, I would have to say January before we are actually operating under one contract. I do believe the NC could throw anything out there at this point and it would be voted in. In my opinion, that's scary!
Whatever TA comes, it will be about a 95% yes vote. We aren't talking about a .50 cent pay raise, but a $6 pay raise. They could limit scope to 8 stations, and the contract will pass, unfortunately. Mostly because we have no leadership that educates or stands for anything. It's all about the hubs with these votes. And, if the TWU peeps passed the last shiat bag then they will definitely pass this one.

Parker already said he will make us the highest paid, so that's $30, and he already said he is going to give us Profit Sharing. And he already delivered to all the other employees on the property, even the non contract ones. Even the weasel even said "The money is there".

Robbed, for the record, the Pilots were combining basically 3 different contracts and the FA's were combining 2 different contracts.
Both got done in 4 months time, at the same time too.

So what is so different about our 2 contracts?

The Association was certified in May of 2015.  We are now 14 months into the one big happy family deal of a union and we aren't even half way through the contract, and the money portion will be whatever the company says it will be, that part is basically done.

14 months and counting, negotiations will de shut down for the holidays, we wouldn't want to over tax our NC, so we will soon see negotiating dates for 2017.
Ask a few of them how much they like their contracts? Not too much. They had they're arms twisted behind their backs with that "Binding Interest Arbitration" BS they agreed to.

You REALLY should talk to some people outside of our workgroup bro.

Yes. That Weasel has the bank codes. He's just waiting for the right moment to open the vault and let the members flood in. "IT'S GOLD, IT'S GOLD. SO SHINY, SO SHINY" MMMNNNN.

Tim  from what Prez and CB have posted on here  it sure seems theyre making pretty good progress   But you need to remember its teh combing of the TWU and IAM contracts into one binding agreement and getting the contract rules and other agreements in it along with getting mgmt to agree to terms that our nego team laid out    Youll recall that the first meeting (DFW??) the company, not the union was the one not prepared     Imagine that  the company not prepped    no shocker there    This mgmt team wants to get binding agreements for the purpose of satisfying those share holders   but its the  mgmt team that is doing the stalling    I do think  (my own opin) that we will have some sort of JCBA in Sept   may be voting on it October and taking affect thereafter     TWU and the IAM had different contract languages    Its not easy putting 2 different unions and contracts into one binding agreement    I think their doing much better than in past negos with this monkey arse mgmt team
Robbed. It's a done deal. There is no negotiation except deciding on how to divide up the pie that Parker already gave them. Bringing 2 different contracts together isn't exclusive to the TWU/IAM. In fact, even the non contract peeps increased scope, wages, everything and the CWA got all of those increases in record time. Scope with 5 flights a day means something, and that was from zero. Toss in grandfather rights to save the members in stations that operate less than 5 flights. In fact, we could mostly scrap the TWU contract, other than only one or two items, and just focus on the IAM contract. The TWU contract sucks balls and wasn't even worth paying dues for. A complete disaster and there just must have been a tremendous amount of ignorance that had members pass it.

At any rate, having Frankie removed was another dumb move on their part. Who is going to do our arbitrations now? Please don't tell me Stevie Miller.

Clerk and Agent are both stupid titles.

Aircraft service man/woman. or
Ramp service man/woman.

Simple.

I barely agree with you on anything, but Ramp Service, or Aircraft Service [man] [woman] is better. Others may be Operation Team Members, etc. The word "Team" is liked by management, but I and others like the word 'member' as opposed to 'employee'. So Operation Team Members. Slightly less well liked would be gender neutral terms like "Operations Squad, Ramp Rats" that may appease the more sensitive liberal folks in these parts.

It doesnt matter if they are meeting or not. The update will use terms like progress but they already know what parker is giving us. I mean there is nothing our morons can do anyways, right?
I don't think for a second "our" guys are morons but you are correct the company will have the final say what we get. I think we will have a contract voted in by health care open enrollment forcing LUS into the LAA plan

So far they have been morons. Sorry, but when they delayed things for 9 months pissing and moaning about BOS, and then King Moron Klima [who is anti union and a non union person from Delta]sent his dopey letter to the TWU Local Presidents trying to wedge more division, is simply moronic. I don't trust these guys. And the reason why I don't trust them is because they are extremely uneducated when dealing with negotiations for multi billion companies. Sorry but Leadership 101, and some bonehead negotiation seminar taught by idiots doesn't sharpen their sword. We need professionals who are trained to be in our negotiations. Not necessarily lawyers, but professional negotiators who are handling the negotiations.

There is a reason why we make less than all other rampers in this industry and that we are starving.

Regarding your text message. No I don't believe Napoleon used a ladder to mount his horse but yes you are shorter than he was.

Tim the last LUS contract look pretty good some of the same people are this team. In fact some articles (scope) set the bar so high it will be almost impossible to equal in this contract.
