Whether or not it will wind up working out to our advantage is irrelevant. BOTH Unions are to blame for the slow if not rocky start.

The IAM for standing firm for a standalone agreement.
The TWU for waiting for the Association to be certified by the NMB.

$26.54
$30.77

I've done the math and luck of the Irish or not, financially the wait STILL lends more to our favor no matter what others want to think.

Even Pink Foyd's High Hopes could  apply to you. I know that's more your speed The rest of us and you've posted it before are   "JJJaded"

That's what people just don't get. Company has ultra low cost saving contracts on both sides for the longterm. Neg team says they won't accept the company offer. Fine!! The company saves even more $$!! The meetings are just a dog and pony show.
The passenger service didn't even have a contract, at least 75% of them. Yet, Parker stepped up and delivered insomuch that they blew by 15 years of my union dues to have much more than this union man. We both know what we are going to get already, so I agree with you that we are just witnessing this ridiculous dog and pony show. We will get $30, PS, 10 holidays, 12 sick days, increase double time provisions, any station with 5 flights, plus grandfather rights for those other stations. Since they were non union, they were in worse shape than us so I can't see how we would have to lose anything. They increased their position by x total dollars, we should as well.

But something tells me these guys don't know what they are doing and will settle by coughing up a few things and settling on a higher flight activity number. But, not in any case, should we still be screwing around sweating small stuff when we have no leverage since we already coughed up the synergies by agreeing to cross utilization and that the company doesn't even have to negotiate since both contracts aren't even up.

The other day my union person said that they aren't taking any bull shiat from the company and are busting their arse. Really? I asked him politely, exactly what leverage do you have since you already gave cross utilization up and the company doesn't even have to negotiate? He couldn't answer.

The Association is stealing our money. We are losing $950 a month. With Kirby wanting to merger all groups, i.e., pilots, stews, passenger service in October, that's going to be a chore and my guess is that he will tell our crackheads to either stop the dog and pony show or rest in peace.

But make no mistake, any TA with a $6 pay increase will pass by 95% with this 'each his own' type community. There isn't any solidarity at all and the Association is by name only.

I don't think the "union persons" know anymore than anyone else. I truly believe they make things up so the people will have something to hear. Not their fault no communication. Perhaps at the end of each week besides an update, a conference call with the leaders of each station. I don't even know what you call them but they should report to members the facts and not their opinions

It's Friday night that's Tim's "Ketle One" night. I think he's getting fired up.  The worst song ever is "the Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald"

I think Electric avenue was Bob's wedding song.  I should really delete this
