They won't sign cost neutral on the rest of the articles. But you keep selling it if it makes you feel good.

BTW I only said "Lock" on the rates. And on that you were SOOOO wrong weren't you.

Weeeeeeee........
First off, who is "They"? Are you saying that the company will continue to advance LUS in other items without wanting LUS scope and LUS health care? Deal me in then!!!!

Shoal Bay is one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen...
One thing I was unaware about was the difference in water temperature of those eastern Caribbean Islands that brush up with the full thrust of the Atlantic, as opposed to Grand Cayman, Cancun or even Miami and the gulf stream. A slight chill, but totally refreshing in Anguilla and St Martin, whereas I could just walk right in the bathlike water in Grand Cayman. Also with a deeper shoreline, at St Martin I was able to finally be on a beach where I could get the classic running start and then just jump right in the water and be in 5 foot of water. The beach lip only extended about 3 feet out then it had a noticeable drop from there until it leveled out at 10 foot depth about 30 feet from the shore.

I doubt many LUS employees will want a contract that raises the insurance rates substantially..,,i know I'm in no hurry..

What do you say WeAAsles, is that pretty spot on?
And we ALL paid for you to go to school.

Dissonant much?

I read the term sheet for our raise, and it says that the company will add $$ to the estimated amount that they are giving us up front if we work overtime or pick up hours during the August-November period.  I have not seen anything about us having to give back $$ if we take VTO or drop hours during that period.  Has this detail been addressed, or have I missed something?

Yes on both.
I feel things aren't done yet and that this is just a part of the process whereby Sito must return a qui pro quo back towards the TWU and company. Not saying I'm right, but I can't honestly come up with any logical reason whereby we must compromise our scope or health care at the hands of more paid days off and s couple other itmes. Of course, I'm assuming that the company isn't going to be a nice fella, but I think that has been consistent with how ridiculous the company has been in negotiations over the past 25 years. From a LAA perspective, although the money bait is no longer there that may risk a membership to vote on a substandard proposal, I still gotta think that the TWU has a lot more reasons to push for a expedited contract, albeit not in a desperation mode.

As you likely are aware, most [all members I've spoken with] of our IAM members probably aren't in any hurry to get a JCBA now unless it means more more more. I'm a lean that way as well even though this won't involve my scope in ORD and won't involve my health care too much since I will just have single health care anyways next year. Plus I wanna get to RSW and a new JCBA may be the ticket. But again, as MB said in an update, we have leverage, at least on the IAM side where we have more, where if we are going to attain a JCBA then we might as well do it right. Yes, I know the answer is that there was never going to be another way but doing it right, but my concern is that Sito may feel as if he owes the TWU a qui pro quo. Again, not saying I'm right and I'll give Sito credit thus far for milking this Association imo towards LUS IAM employees for everything it is worth.

In a nutshell Tim, you are saying that you and all the IAM members (including the negotiators) are in "IGM" mode. Exactly why this Association is a joke.

Not necessarily. What I am saying is that we can afford to take our time, at this point. Prior to the wage increase, people were hungry. Not saying we are fat and happy because we still have some cleaning up to do, but it's not like we are as hungry to eat. BTW, the same SHOULD be true for LAA members, right? I mean, the money bait won't be used to bait any of us into a sucker's deal. So, LAA shouldn't be as desperate either. The difference is that I think we ought to use the LUS health care and LUS scope as leverage to swing you guys over towards better health care and better scope, as opposed to giving up the LUS scope and LUS health care. I don't have the answers on this but all of us, including LAA ought to covet the LUS scope and LUS health care. It's our leverage.

In America we say, 'Baby if you do it....take your time, do it right...."

And I think we are ALL in position to have patience and resist the temptation of any hungry feeling.

Amen! Which is why I've always said the IAM should have conceded or at the very least an election. A group that only represents 20% of the ramp shouldn't have the power they have. A joke is an understatement!

Funny.

My school cost would not even come close to covering the "redistribution of wealth" the government has imposed on me over the 20 years prior.

I can say I have been promoted 3 times since I started and gotten several dollars in pay raises based on merit? Can you?

Didn't think so.

Which reminds me, where's 700 these days?
If you want to see a fine example of self-righteous moralistic grandstanding go a liberal protest.

Watch as they complain about "corporate pollution" as they go through one iPhone after another just because they want the latest model with go faster stripes.
