JetBlue Jumps In With premium Offer For Spirit

Some more teasers before the announcement comes soon. Of course JB and Spirit will both say that fares will not increase, they need this merger to compete with the big 4.
My question in all this is what union will the F/A's go with after merger? I would lean way more in the area of Spirits union and get the hell away from the TWU industrial union with all those other groups they also represent. Going with a more F/A based Class and Craft union would be much better for the F/A's where all the focus can and would be on the F/A's and not other "unrelated" groups like all industrial unions do.
Shouldn't we be hearing some news soon from the gov on rather they will sue or not to stop the merger (try to stop)???

And of course, two of the unions completely disagree with one another:

You do realize the AFA is part of the Communication Workers of America (CWA)?

They aren’t an independent union.

Mechanics @ JB pay attention. Take note how the F/A's were able to nego a pay raise long before merger is even started as indicated in this article below. JB Mechanics may want to think about getting represented prior to the merger being completed. If you guys were to go with AMFA, like Spirit Mechanics already are it would be a much smoother integration of sen. list, when the time comes and you too may be able to nego pay raises as the F/A's just did.

Notice no mention of the alliance with AA at all, hmmmmm.

"JetBlue has sought to ease government antitrust concerns by offering to divest itself of Spirit assets in the Northeast and in Fort Lauderdale.

The carrier has publicly offered to offload all Spirit airport assets in the New York area and in Boston, as well as five airport gates at Fort Lauderdale where the two carriers combined lead all airlines in daily flights."

A better chance for more airline growth over on the East Coast.

If they unionize they won’t be negotiating a raise before they get their first CBA.

Difference is FAs were ALREADY unionized and have an existing CBA.

Guess you forgot how SCAMFA screwed EVERY newly organized group.
