What's new

John Ward

Mikey, I have always thought your comments were right on point. I agree with you. No more slime ball Ward.

Would anyone here ever vote for a Bush. AKA: Shrub

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Your logic is "dead on accurate" !!
But my point/question to Mikey, was, was it possible for JW, to "dissect" every base, to get enough to put the APFA's version of BUSH, back in the drivers seat.
I mean, 20-25 crummy votes from MILITANT places like NYC/BOS/MIA, added to much BIGGER numbers from "the MOTHER SHIP base(DFW) could mathematically do the trick.
Finally, the bottom line is, that JW isn't the REAL problem, and I'm going to exclude the Senior Mama's, who couldn't care if Adolph Hitler were president.
I'm talking SPECIFICALLY about the lower seniority F/A, in a place like DFW,,who is finally coming off reserve, who WOULD vote for a JW, because she/he sees Ward as a saviour from reserve, and to a certain extent, would sacrifice better working conditions, and possible MORE money, just to keep off reserve, if that "was" the propaganda Johnny boy might be slinging !
With the AMT's, the comparison with the F/A's is similar.
AMFA LOST because of the LEMMINGS in TUL, did'nt want the apple cart upset !
# # # # ...NOTE..., you folks in TUL/DFW/AFW have taught me well, that not ALL of you guys/gals from those "mothership bases, swallowed the TWU/AA(SAME SHET) rhetoric, so I just wanted you to know....that I (NOW) KNOW............. # # # #
I think its a travesty APFA gives him the list. How can he even be on the ballot? Doesn't APFA have an ethics committee?
LOL...it is perfectly legal and any candidate can have literature sent to the membership. The addresses are handled in a very secure way. He doesn't "get" the list. John (or any other candidate) can go to Useless and under watchful eyes put labels and postage on any campaign letters to be sent out. They are mailed from the APFA. The list never leaves headquarters nor does any envelope with a member's address.
Bill how short your memory seems to be...it wasn't that long ago that our own union President stole the membership list and gave it to the IAM for raid purposes. That was not only illegal, unethical but immoral. I was working next to Joyce Coleman's office and had just moved so when I received IAM "mail", I asked how my new address (which had been changed with the company but not the union) had wound up in the hands of the IAM. She disclosed that Sherry had requested the lastest f/a address (as was IFFA's contractual right) and she had complied. This list was for the sole purpose of IFFA's business use, not to be given out to others. Long point to say that John's mailing (though offensive to some) was perfectly legal and above board.
Get off your horse Nancy, I never said it was illegal. I said I thought it unethical. As for SC, you say she "stole" the list but then you say she asked Joyce Coleman. So she did not steal it, she asked for it. And frankly when you criticise me for something I never heard about you are way off base. You bring forth something a person has never head about and then accuse them of selective memory. That is manufacturing slander, a perfect example of the evidence you requested from me on another BB. The example of slander is your very own.
Ah Bill, as much as you frequesnt our boards and as much as this subject has been discussed I'm surprised you were not aware of Sherry's action. The "stealing" was the improper and illegal giving of our personal information to the IAM. Just as some of "our" think she (and others) have done nothing unethical, there are many who feel the same about John Ward. Strange bedfellows, no? Psychologist, heal thyself.
The ballots are out. I had made up my mind long before the ballot arrived in the mailbox. I do like to look over the candidate information booklet. For me the most telling part about a candidate is not the past experience, although important, not even the educational or labor relations experience. The personal statement and who they have listed as references.
I always I feel better or stronger about my candidate by the names on the list of references. As I read through the book I can't help but notice that people I know and respect are supporting the same candidate. Also interesting that a few people, I loath are listed as character references for a candidate(s), wait for the drum roll I loath and despise. Go figure
Funny that you put into words my exact thoughts this afternoon when I was going through the Ward and Glading web site. There's truth in the saying what opinions are like and how everyone has one. If my ballot were based solely on the supporter lists, my choice would be very clear.
Glading's supporter list inludes a majority of the people that I can't stand on the line who talk nothing but garbage and love to do everything but their job. The list also includes all the B.O.D's who I find supremely responsible for shortening my ballot, voting on how the balloting would be done while not bothering to make sure it worked correctly, and the same ones who extended the balloting by one day. Then there are the useless people who get non stop trip removals for the union doing useless work who the regular working flight attendants have to carry on each leg they actually fly because they don't know how to be flight attendants. Then I look at Ward's list and it includes actual, real time, no BS, FA's whom I respect and admire as well as former negotiators who had no desire for any union glory, or permanant trip removal status, but are people who wanted to step up to the plate and put their money where there mouth was in order to get something for the people who do this for a career.
Those who fly out of JFK will also notice a distinct difference between caribbean vs. non caribbean flying FAs on the lists.
I guess we're all entitled to our opinions. I'll stick with the unpretentious, no BS people because that's what I'm about.
When did you guys receive the ballots? Maybe my kids hid mine?
Actually what you are about is making up grandiose claims like all G supporters ...talk nothing but garbage and all JW supporters are real, no BS f/as. Would you expect anyone of sound mind to bel;ieve your claims? You claims are beyond belief.
I was not wild about any of them--before or after reading the qualifications ballot; so, I just voted for one from each slate. Probably wasted my vote, but what the hey. I'm a Democrat. I'm used to losing. :lol:
You continue to insist it was stealing when there was no stealing as you yourself pointed out. You continue to insist I should have kownsomething I did not know. Do you ever speak the truth or do you just like to continue to distort things?
Ahh, now we have former TWA employees at each other throats.....
As they used to say in Victorian England, "You, sir, are a cad!" I can't think of anyone I know who is more straightforward, honest, and giving than Nancy. I have NEVER known her not to tell the truth. The fact that the truth does not gel with your personal view of the world does not make it any less the truth.
You are hereby put on ignore. You are one of only two people I ignore on the entire USAviation boards. Do not consider it an honor because I generally want to hear the views of even the people I disagree with. But, you are not worthy of an audience.
And, Nancy, there is no need to call and admonish me. I'm fully aware that you do not need me to leap to your defense, but I did it anyway. Beside that, you can't tell what to do. Your not my momma. :lol:
Bill, you post with clarity little "facts" that have been discussed on our f/a board (where you are an invited guest) but don't "remember" the single most important event in the history of TWA f/a unions? Surprising. The stealing was from IFFA as she "stole" the names of her members to give to the IAM for purposes of raiding and destroying the union she was elected to "protect" and to "serve". Just what would YOU call her actions? She was found guilty. The truth is the truth, and you cannot "spin" this any other way. You are an educated man and perhaps need to take a good look at our entire history before you continue to pass judgement.
Yes, we bicker occasionally but in the end we usually find a common ground. Bill likes to "visit" one of our sites and "stir" the pot, and I have just as much "fun" calling him on it...
Grandiose heh? Well my name means a little bit great in italian so grandiose is close enough. :lol: I didn't say all Glading supporters were bad. I looked at both lists and what I saw was that Ward's list consisted of true FA's while Gladings was peppered with a lot of the perpetually trip removed who think they're better than the average working FA. I've flown with them, you haven't. You don't know me and you don't know what I'm about.
If I were to guess what you were like from your posts alone it would be that you liked your job and you miss it. I would also say that you were probably a good pilot who some people liked and other people thought was way too bossy and obnoxious for their liking.
You don't know John Ward and you don't know any of the people on his list so how can your opinion count for anything anyway?
