It these kind of attitudes; Senior v. Junior, E v. W, Union v. Management, ect... that are absolutely killing us!
The "we know better" or "they have no idea" attitudes have to stop if we are going to get anywhere as an airline.

You are more than entitled to your view of the t/a but at least come up with examples, make some valid arguments and don't start with the above mentioned mindsets.

I know this probably makes me sound like a spokesman of management (which believe me I am not)... but these blanket statements do nothing but hurt our entire operation and don't help solve any of our issues!

Pat, as an outsider from the IAM, just reading the proposed TA I can give you some examples of why the union group as a whole should vote no.

1.-Several cities that don't reach quotas with flight schedules will be outsourced and thrown to the street. As a union member, we protect even the smallest cities from being harmed.

2.-Extending the Iam contract 2 more years.

3.-Forfeiture of profit sharing.

4.-No set tables with pay increases, just a proposed 22 % increase to some. What will be the exact pay scales? Every contract or TA usually show the pay increases.

5.-Rising health care costs are eminant. This could eat up the increase in salary where there really would be no gain and in the long run the employee would be losing more.

6.-Sick time? There are too many gray areas in this category.

Is this really a well negotiated TA, no.

7.-There is no specific language on date of hire seniority. They have you all believing it will be DOH, but where is that spelled out?

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see this is a lousy deal. The west agents will cling onto anything that looks good right now because of how badly they have been treated by the company. What they must realize right now is that if they vote no there is a very great chance that the Union would be back in bargaining with the company to get more. Don't settle , stand strong as a group and demand to get more. This TA is quite insulting to the their group.

I completely agree with many of those concerns, I just wish everyone could be that constructive when making their positions known on labour issues within our operation.

What does it say here.... I can't read

Sounds like something an AGC was saying yesterday as people pored in to vocalize their displeasure for 8 hours.
8 hours of hate in CLT. I think it was Union Member v. Inept Negotiators though 😱

.
First of all rocks you need to read the agreement and quit spreading wrong info.
The pay rates and when we get raises is clearly spelled out 2 percent over each year beggining in 2009.
As far as the increase in the insurance its clearly spelled out in the agreement when we signed this agreement in 2005.
They give to you each increase for each year nothing is hidden. As far as outsorcing the cities listed will not be outsorced until after 2011
And the word is may be outsorced.
This was an agreement to change some things in the current agreement not ope the entire contract for review.
I really dont know why so many people dont get that.
As to weather or not its a good deal there are definally problems with it, I for one dont like giving up the profit sharing if Im not going to get anything in
return like maybe a signing bouns. Also why do the class 2 cities get stepped on again and have to wait 6 months for all of there wage increase to come about.
With that I say read the agreement stop speading rumors before you vote do your homework.

If LCC's Fleet Workers accept this abysmal offer from Management/IAM, then i say you get exactly what you deserve. Based on the facts presented thus far,
there's only one word i can think of when it pertains to this "contract offer", ATROCIOUS. Come on 2% raises each year, are you joking???? LCC is making
money hand over fist right now, if you can't do better than 2% yearly increases right now, you'll never be able to. Add to this the fact that your medical costs
will go up, along with that little doozie about Fleet no longer sharing in any profit-sharing, all for a measly 2% per year. In the end, you would actually
be receiving a PAYCUT!!! And oh yeah, we wanna contract out some more cities. LOL!!! My 2 year old daughter could negotiate better terms than this.

Here are some key reasons:
you are only being offered a summary to vote on at this point... even the most savvy East fleet agent will likely not know the details because, if they did, it would have no chance of passing. THe poor West rampers are being rushed into this and they have to figure out what the current East bankruptcy contract really means. Ask the IAM what the rush is all about.
The other monster item is the loss of the Change of Control arbitration And that is the real reason for the extreme rush.
I'm sorry but the CIC should have gone into effect 2 years ago in Sept. I'm not in any hurrry to give it up now for a whoodoo job from the Company and IAM.

Once again inform yourselves. The entire details of the agreement is at the 141 web site.
If you dont read it than you wont be fully aware of all the details.

As for you Delta777 what bussiness is of yours anyway what we do Your sorry company just takes
whatever it wants from you becasue you guys keep turning down represtation everytime you get a chance
So why dont you just go away and leave this to the IAM members.

The CIC is just a fantsey. If we win and thats no garentee the company will hold it up in court for a long time.
Also it only adresses pay nothing else. I for one think if we vote it down we should hope for a better pay increase

Ok henderfuzz, perhaps you might wanna take a look at where LCC Fleet stands in total compensation when compared to the rest
of the industry. The IAM has done NOTHING to further your cause. You are the lowest paid, have the worst
vacation policy, NO pension to speak of, and assuming you pass this TA, which seems likely when there are spineless
worker bees such as yourself who are nothing more than IAM cheerleaders, will have NO profit-sharing. Oh yeah,
and you actually pay the IAM union dues for this p.o.s. contract. And you wonder why Delta ramp has voted down union
representation.

Yes, its true Delta ramp isn't represented by a union. However, they aren't the lowest paid, with the worst vacation policy,
and they still receive profit-sharing. Never mind the fact that they still have some semblance of a retirement. And they don't
pay any union dues to boot.

Don't take this the wrong way, unions can be a good thing many times. I like to think they at least try to keep management
honest. Unfortunately, what you have allowed the IAM to do to you is a travesty. And for Christ sake, try using spell check!!!
