According to US Daily, an info session for current US Airways employees interested in becoming flight attendants will be held on 6/14 in LAS.

It also mentioned that you have to agree to be based in LAS. PHX was never mentioned. I thought LAS was just a base for a few dozen reserve flight attendants. Is the base getting beefed up?

I haven't heard about any 'beefing up', but they are a little understaffed.
Some LAS FAs transferred to PHX over the past few months.

No beefing up, they just have positions to fill and they prefer to hold those info sessions where the people already live.

Can anyone pass on the "beef" about the LAS F/A Base? I have heard there are only a few reserves, I have also heard a few dozen....Are they all reserves? Thanks for the info!

17 sounds about right, but I think they consider 30 to be fully staffed. Mebbe 25. Not sure.
They are all on reserve, and used for sick calls/irreg ops.
They have some sitting hot at the airport, and some on call at home.
There are no block lines out of LAS.
But there are many trips that deadhead to/from PHX at the beginning, end, or both, of the trip.
