Except for flights to/from the UK, the TSA seems to be relaxing the rules. Other than liquids, seems like carry-on rules are pretty much normal for domestic/Caribbean/LA.

I just spoke with a TSA supervisor in PIT and he said Crewmwmbers DO have to remove their shoes, but so do TSA employees going thruogh also. In other word, everyone has to take off their shoes. Crewmembers are exempt from the liquid rule. He is sendind me the Security directive that was put out to all stations.

As a seasoned crew member, I have NEVER checked my bags...ESPECIALLY WHILE WORKING!!!!!!!

I have decided to go to work for the TSA. My surly attitude is well suited to being a government employee, and being paid to rummage through delicate underthings sounds intriguing.

Now, if I could just find my crayons to complete the coursework…

I was thinking the same thing....I can see us all at baggage claim and 250 shaving bags come down the belt with big tags on them.

I can't believe we're going to have to check bags. I wonder if this is just temporary or if it will stick.

It's already become un-stuck. Except for flights to the UK, carry-on baggage is allowed. It's just the liquids/gels/etc that aren't allowed.

Well I do know that many don't check bags due to the reliability factor of ever getting it back but the carry-on bag situation is OUT OF CONTROL to say the least. 90% of people are comming on with suitcases with wheels. All wondering why it takes sooooo long to board and those in the back waiting to get off after the flight has arrived at their destination. WAAAAAAAY out of control. It should be ONE bag period....put your personal item in the bag. No more personal items in addition to your carry on. The rolling laptop bag is NOT a personal item. We need to get rid of more than juts hair spray, gel and shampoo. OH and I refuse to work with another f/a without mouthwash...LOL.
