What's new

Love those hybrids

All of California is not always sunny (overcast/FOG). I live on the peninsula and for $80K all I'll get is maintenance fees for a dynamic technology that will be obsolete in 5 years (if not sooner). The time to build nuclear power plants was ten years ago. Instead of trying to save the one eyed newt, people should have voted for people and some species have to die for it. Plain and simple.

Have you seen this? Global rice shortage

You know, it's not always sunny in America's heartland, what with tornadoes and thunderstorms and the like. But if they had the option of "selling" solar power back to the grid, the southern roof of my house would have solar panels (some are so unobtrusive it is amazing) and just make do with a lower electric bill for the days that ARE sunny and I'm not at home to use the power I just generated.
