Dumb question, maybe you can help me out. I am a US Air lead tech, and I was curious where American has maintenance, and where will they have maintenance after the bankruptcy. Thanks!

A lot of AA mechs would like to know the answer to this question. I would imagine TULE(reduced utilization), DWH(DFW airport), for heavy. Line prob will be affected some but not as much.
Just a guess...

The reason I ask is that US Airways is about to become American Airways. I want to know where I can bump to once I get bumped out of DFW.

We will have maintenance somewhere in asia and eventually central america but there will be no bumping to those bases.......

American Airways dissapeared back in the 1930s, after they were all caught stealing from the government.

Can't wait to work with you all. Thanks for all the intelligent replies. Just like the You Tube guy.

What did you expect? With everything else these guys are going through, do you really think they want to entertain the idea of someone bumping into (what might be) their station?

How are you going to bump when there isnt a merger yet, nor are you working under a single CBA?

Trust me sniffles, you should enjoy the humorous replies. The replies to match your smart ass question wouldn't have been very enjoyable.

Yeah, you prefaced your question with "dumb question". You should have expected dumb answers.

He's probably afraid that the IAM will not protect his job or seniority in the event of a merger. How come you didn't harp on him for calling it USAIR, afterall that name hasn't been used since 1995 as you always say...

Josh

Once again you circumvent the truth.

I have been through three mergers with the IAM and my seniority was protected and DOH was used.

Why do you keep insisting to misinform about TWA?

TWA and AA went to arbitration, just like the Pilots, Flight Attendants, Ramp, every unionized group. The arbiter made the decision, the IAM presented its case. An independent person made the decisions. So did ALPA fail too?

TWA had to give up its LPPs in order for AA to buy them or they would have went out of business.

And stick to the topic, instead of trying to insult and deflect.
