Watch several gates load and the gate agents were very helpful, courteous and basically looking like they were enjoying there jobs. This was good to see.
Boarded a 319 on time and was offered a predeparture drink. I thought the west did not do that.... Had a great A F/A who you could tell also enjoyed her job. She was personable and greeted warmly all who boarded. All in all I was very impressed. After reading some of the posts here I was not expecting the great service and employees.
So for those of you on the west I tip my hat to you.....
Thanks for the kind words and note of appreciation. This Forum in particular has given many a bad impression of the "Westies" before anyone has had an opportunity to see us in action or meet us in person.
By no means are we perfect, but I believe it is the front line employees of the West side that has kept this airline in the skies all these years - just like those on the East side. Combined, we are a class act - just as we were at our respective previous carriers.
After all my years with AWA, and now US Airways, I still love my job as much as the day I started and appreciate every customer that walks in the doorway of my aircraft.
Thanks for flying with US and I hope to the chance to serve you personally on a future flight. I'll even stock some extra chocolate Biscoffs for you!
