What's new

Merger

US has more aircraft on their cert. therefore, the US certificate will survive. In order to have "other" aircraft added to AWA certificate, there would have to be proving runs etc. It doesn't matter what certificate is used people. As of the 25th or so, we will be one company. AWA people need to get over this rival attitude.

Wrong. Two seperate operating certificates until all of the aircraft that this new company wants is on one certificate.

US has the larger A/C and the larger route network plain and simple. US already holds certificates on the widebodies.

So what, Whatnow? HP operated trans-Pacific 747's. There is nothing that would stop them (except recurring bouts of sanity) that would prevent them from operating larger equipment on longer routes. From your postings, you'd have to be an olympic gymnast to get over yourself.

I would not be surprised to see the name of the airline changed somewhere down the road. It was a decent idea to preserve some brand awareness in the market in the short-term during the transition, but the longer the airline operates, the less important the name becomes, especially in a commodity industry like the airlines. Witness the wireless providers and their name changes.

Who buys milk by brand alone?

That was not a rival "attitude" statement, but a practical analogy. One would assume that with more aircraft on one cert....that one would be used. Learn the difference between attitude and a practical statment please. Also, if you read the end of my post, I am saying we are all ONE. No rival attitude from this end buddy.

No where in my post did I say that you, or your post, demonstrated a rival attitude. I was basically agreeing with your post, with an addition. I have seen rival attitudes displayed by employees from both airlines.

Seems as if you were refering to me. Sorry dude.

HP is wanting to use US cert and would like to be completed in 18 months. This is the plan right now.

And the attitudes are getting nasty. TB i agree with you, it is just going to happen so let it be.

Not a problem. I believe the majority of employees realize what we do--that we will be one company soon, and need to work together, otherwise the company WILL fail. Hopefully, the rest will realize that soon

Good grief you people are soo touchy.....just stating the facts as to why it would be easier to keep what they had where they had it! Take a chill pill dude! Most of the grumblings and attitudes are coming from the AWA side.....US side is too worn out to fight over childish crap like this! <_<

😀 Just trying to make the DOH point that's all. It's really something that we ALL need to hold onto......who knows what the future holds! 😱
