More EMB-190s to replace 737 for 2008

Not all by F/A's, but a high proportion accredited. It may have been down to new inexperienced crews as expansion takes place in the airline and also the actual operation of the aircraft lots of daily short haul trips. Thanks for the reply

The East pilots would like a pay raise, but if necessary, they appear ready to decertify ALPA; as well as live under LOA 93 for a very long time. According to a recent comment in the press by the AWA Communications Committee Chairman an East ALPA decertification, which is gaining momentum, would delay joint negotiations by about 2 years.

Live under LOA 93 indefinitely I would say. Management is no more motivated to negotiate a section 6 with the east than they are with the west. USAPA or not, it doesn't matter. Until the east replaces it's MEC and comes to grips with reality, they are stuck. And given the track recors the east has with delivering the bacon for it's membership, a strike vote is a non-starter.
