What's new

New BOB snacks and soft drinks

People on the east coast will have no problem paying. It costs $3 at any convenience store you go to.$3 for a premium soft drink is not alot of $$$.

Obviously you haven't walked to any Walgreens or CVS on the "east coast" then.

Arizona Ice Tea costs $0.99 and that's for a can bigger (24 oz) than what's shown in the picture on the US website.

And Arizona Ice Tea is not from your neck of the woods in case you didn't know. They were developed in Brooklyn, NY and the company is headquartered on Long Island.

Well I flew 6 flights yesterday and have to say that people are buying. I didn't have a single person buy the Arnold Palmer 50/50 at all. I believe it's a bit much for a 12oz. can. It's my opinion that they should keep liquor at 7 and premium drinks at 8 but lower the can of beer to 5. Hey, they'd make more in the long run. What I AM impresses with is that they provision this stuff for first class. They only have to pay for premium bevs in f/c if the "A" runs out and needs a product from the "B" in back. That came straight from the mouth of a product specialist yesterday. There is no transfer from cart to cart. My final suggestion though to US is GO CASHLESS NOW! ! ! !

Surely you jest that F/C passengers have to pay for alcohol retrieved from coach!!!! And, cashless is fabulous! No liquor money deposits. No online entries. Just transmit the OSR data at the next station. And, you don't have to worry about being called in during an investigation of one of your sticky fingered co-workers. (Oh, did I say that in my outside voice?)

OK, so rows 1 and 2 can get Arnie's Tea, But the sucker in 3F has to pay because they ran out? Sorry, but you cannot freebi one row and charge the next in F/C. Bad enough on a transcon 3f never gets their first choice of meal, now you're gonna charge for a "premium"?

I agree with you 100%. If you cant transfer the beverage from back to front...I guess the only next thing to do is Comp the First Class drink from the coach inventory or charge it in the system and then make a refund. Either way the First Class Pax wont get charged on my flts.

Perhaps Mr Doug could sit in row 3 and want a Arnies Tea after running out in row 2...that will be 3.00 plz.

I heard from a specialist in LGA today that if a crew member wants a Starbucks or Redbull they will have to pay the $3.00. What a joke! Another slap in the face from Tempe.

I think its uncanny that MF fought tooth and nail so that we wouldnt have to sell beverages and now we are selling everything but our a** on board. Wheres the commission? Wheres the incentives? I dont advertise. If they ask then I sell.

First class passengers do not have to pay for premium beverages. Period! That's what I was told when I wrote to ask inflight. I was also told that if you are out of a premium beverage in the front you can swap it for something in the back as long the ending inventory isn't higher than the beginning inventory. I'm not sure if that makes a whole lot of sense but the point is first class pax do not have to pay.

Bother way LadyEpaulette, you might want to watch your tone because I don't want anyone to accuse you of being bitter. 😱

The P&P hot sheet says FC is comp and does not mention anything about if you need to get something from coach.

My guess would be that you would select comp f/c to account for the use in f/c from coach inventory? /shrug I dunno

All I know is that I won't lose sleep over it. LOL
