Not broke, just owed more then they had cash on hand, and you can say that about every airline.

And HP certainly did not buy US it was a merger funded by outside investors.

Ah don't worry we will all come out west and bump you guys since we are the senior workforce.

And when you go out east and spouse tries to visit, to complain, lol!

Wow dude, you need to get a grip 😱

I don't recall saying HP bought US. I know that's not the case.

I don't need to worry about being bumped because I'm non-union and so is my work group.

I won't complain about my spouse being bumped because I am already used to the system in place and I understand that active employees should come first. Plus, we always plan and have backup. He's only been bumped once.

You know, I've been waiting for someone to make the comment that since the higher ups decided to keep the US Air name that it is still the old US Air. We should have come up with a new name.

No, the name is still a good one. It's just some of the people we should have gotten rid of. They are just were not in management, it was at all levels, as you can tell on here.

buckeyfan, do not listen to this retard. he just likes to stir the pot. he is the most negative poster on the usairways board. don't let him get to you. the majority of the east based employees don not feel as nearly as he does.

I hope 700 is close to retiring because people like him and others at us east and west need to go cant do anything ood for these people without them complaining

You know those type of people are on the hunt for a quarrel. It's not personal, usually - it's just that you happen to be the most convenient target.

Difficult people are insecure. They want YOU to think and live like THEY think and live. They want you to be unhappy, because they are unhappy themselves. Misery indeed loves company. They feel better if you are tense and pissed off like they are.

What can you do to instantly neutralize their negativity? You cannot stop them from being difficult and demanding. (Heaven help you if you try!) But you can control your own reactions through the amazing power of NowFacts, and have much less stress in your life as a pleasant result.

Put him in your ignore list. What you don't see won't bother you. That's what I do. 🙂 lol

it broken down into 25 30 40 and 100 bucks segment depending on distance broken down into zones divided by states and countries

This is what they put out in the past:

$25 O/W up to 500 miles
$30 O/W 501-1000 miles
$40 O/W 1001- miles
$100 O/W Europe & Hawaii

Segment/security fees and international taxes are on top of the above.

Has it changed somewhat and I missed it?

Can we still use the old buddypasses?

i don't want to trade them in yet.
I dont' know about the old buddypasses on the east, but the west flexi-passes are good until they expire. But those flexis can also be traded in (3 for 1) for "new" buddy passes.

Also, I don't think the new passes are available yet. The next phase of pass travel begins when the new site is working, which it isn't yet.

However, I am a west employee, and with my new employee # was able to sign on to the hub. It showed that I have 8 passes in my "bank", but probably can't use them yet.

I can be patient though 🙂

Well lets see what name is the company?

Lets see which company had more employees and more aircraft?
Whatever, I think everybody is just about sick of hearing that crap!!! I'm an East employee and I think they should travel on the priority below the active employees when traveling alone. Getting sick of hearing "this is the way we've always done it". You see what happened when we kept doing everything the same way!!!

I know it undoubtedly varies by route, but based on the few buddy passes I've bought this will be cheaper. We took my daughter and her boyfriend to the UK with us back in Jan and the buddy pass was about $600 + taxes/fees/etc. This is $200 cheaper.
