New Nevada Livery

Since Nascar is CLT based is US the "Official Airline of Nascar" ? I am not sure one way or the other? If we are then a Nascar themed 319 sounds like a great idea. But remember the Sports Franchise special scheme's past, present, and future are all teams HP/US was/is the official airline of.

As far as the new Nevada scheme the back looks great but the front looks very bland and unfinised. I wonder if something is to be added at PHX MTC that was not done at ROW? Looking fwd to a more revealing photo.

They gonna paint the front saying "Slots on Board, Come Fly with US" There you go a revenue maker just like the cruise ships. You got a captive player, will keep funneling their money. Can also rig them up so they don't pay off. Which even the Vegas ones do for that matter.

Probably part of the $9million being spent to add to your inflight experience, I can just see the Flight attendants wearing a change dispenser...click click click click..theres change for your $1. Heck we cant even make change for a $20 half the time for a headset purchase! Guess it will be mandatory to bring a roll of quarters upon checkin!

Slots take dollar bills. In Atlantic City, there are quarter slots that only take $1 bills and higher, most of them are $5 bills and they don't take no quarters. Winners are paid by ticket and you can insert the ticket in another slot machine. Kind of handy not having to carry all that change, especially if you put a $20 bill in and play 3 quarters off, just get that coupon ticket.

Theres another pix posted now where it looks like the white is the same color, but its from the left side. Maybe it was just the shadow on the right side that makes it look like it wasnt painted, or maybe it was the old "flat", "satin", "semi gloss" problem. 😛

Hopefully Marketing will continue rolling out these theme liveries. Keep them clasic and tasteful and DON"T DO THE RIDICULOUS PAINTSCHEME THAT SWA DID WITH THE "MARYLAND" flag........u-g-l-i-e-s-t plane in the skies! The Maryland flag is unique and colourful, on that plane it looks awful. NASCAR should jump on the idea of a logojet.......it is the largest spectator sport and with the Carolinas being a major fanbase, it would be a good idea.

Sorry Tempe but this one gets a D from me. Very "Underwhelming". Just way to dull and way, way to much white. The entire aircraft should be blue with the US titles and logo in white. Would not be surprised if they get many complaints on this one.

The sad thing is let's say they are doing a similarily "Underwhelming" job on the new Arizona scheme, already at ROW for painting. They realize they screwed up from all the negative coments on Nevada and now the Arizona will probably suck to. :down: Tempe needs to redue this one. :down:

Tempe if you are listening the idea of a "Special Scheme" is for it to "SPECIAL". And more interesting than a regular scheme. In this case the regular US scheme has less white, more design, and frankly looks much more special.

Sometimes the criticism of Tempe get out of hand. Yes, some of the Heritage planes were botched up initially but at least they were corrected. At least they are TRYING. I certainly don't drink the koolaid but how can WE MOVE FORWARD when someone always wants to throw THEM a roadblock.

Why not let the employees vote on the "Special Liveries"? Have 2 or 3 different versions made up and then place them on the Hub or Compass for employees to vote on. Trust me on this one, by doing that you not only let your employees get involved, it will also eliminate all the negative feedback too! And besides, it seems we have better taste than Tempe! LOL

Both planes were sitting side by side today in PHX parked at the gate. The 757 defenitely looked a little more faded... But both looked good.

If they are doing state livery aircraft, there must be a PA and NC in the works. Maybe one for every hub state.

i think they just got CHEAP, look at the pic, they didnt bother painting the top fwd part of the A/C. I think they are already preparing for the worst and starting to cut costs.

I saw that too. I'm going to watch for that airplane to see if that's just a shadow.

I may be weird...I know I am...but I find all the theme planes refreshing! BTW, Although I live in CLT and am no fan of car racing...ranks there with tennis and watching paint dry...NASCAR is HUGE and an a/c or sponsorship would reach millions. Just dont crash the car like the USAir car did WITH the onboard camera...HEHE!!
