Wow they got Dave Witworth to come back. He is a class act and I hope he can turn Philadelphia around. Interesting all these people from NWA, Dave left inflight in CLT to go there I think. Something has to be done in PHL, he was great when I was in CLT. well respected with the flight attendants.

Do you think he will come in and clean house? Who do you think is worth keeping and who should go?

That would be up to Dave. IMO he should make every last one of them reinterview. Let them stand on thier own I think Dave can figure it out.

Dave comes back to USAirways also known as USScareways to attempt to put Humpty Dumpty back together again. He has shown that he is credible and we are fortunate to have him dig in . Philadelphia is TOUGH there are so many facets to be placed into motion. If you really think about it when has anyone at the top really wanted to connect the dots. It will include accountability from the top down. He as every one in the know realizes that on the line we really have not been provided with the proper tools. Just watch MR. Parkers last Crew News he says the employees at the Philadelphia Airport have not had the right tools to work with. First credible statement . Can I quote you Mr. Parker?

I'm Sorry..But It's NOT The F/A Group In PHL That's A Train Wreak...It's The Airport It Self!! What Are You Talking About...Make Them All Reinterview? We Have A Great Group Of F/A's In PHL!! <_<

wow, a credible statement from Dougie...
Dave will shake it all up. Perhaps things will change. I told him long ago ... we needed him in PHL, He just chuckles.
Perhaps with other new positions created Phl will just have a turn around.
This is prob one of the best ideas Tempe has put in motion.

LOL... not sure on getting betters supervisors... Tempe wont pay more then 35k for that postion.
But the leadership will be topnotch.

Whitworth coming to PHL is a bold move and one that should have been made years ago! First, PHX has got to pay for decent supervisors and managers. Why do you think all the good ones left like rats off a ship? Name one supervisor in PHL that was there 2 years ago. Well, there isn't one. They want to work them like a mule, tie their hands and micro manage them into oblivion. Inflight Supervisors have no autonomy to make any decision. I am surprised they don't have to get a bathroom pass. That job is not easy especially in PHL. The line flight attendants are making more than their supervisor and that is a statement. They want to pay crap so they get crap in return. You work at any other position in the corporate world and 9 times out of 10 a supervisor or manager makes more than the line employee because they have added responsibilities. The supervisors in there now make 30K if that to start and top out at 40K. It's not a 9-5 job and are asked to manage a group that is underpaid and abused from 2000 miles away.
I hope they give Dave the tools and resources to recruit a good team. Half those in there now can't read the contract. Good luck Dave, if they give you the tools and let you manage I know you can make a difference.

Hey this is off the subject but ... has anyone heard anything about negations or the fearless leader at AFA?

Okay now back to the subject at hand...

Agreed. The PHL FA's are some of best FA's in the system. All of the bases have fine employees, but it's always a pleasure to find out that my crew is based in PHL.
