What's new

new PHL crewroom opens tomorrow (3/16) at 9am!

Do we know how long we have to wait  . They took the agents break room away under B10 in PHL for the flight attendants. It has been over 15 months and still no break room for us. They offered us some little hole in the wall under B and they couldn't even get that right. We have been eating in the gate lounges and in the jetways. Outrageous as it seems they keep telling us that its only a matter of time. It is a shame they cannot even take care of their own. Treat us like animals.

does anybody have any feedback on how it looks? do the computers actually work?

The lack of response leads me to believe everything is fine with the place. This forum is nothing but a USAir bash fest. People only come here to complain and ridicule.

I'm sure it is fantastic. Thumbs up  on finally seeing it done. People DO only come here to bash. There is usually lots to bash at US. Just look at the posts compared to the "other" large carriers. Happy employees as a mass usually means less to complain about.

The crewroom is HUGE!! Very nice! Seperate eating area, seperate lounging area with New recliners, lots of space to put bags...And...CLEAN BATHROOMS!! And heard they are installing not one but two flat screen tv's!! Very..Very..Nice!!

I'm sure the new crew room is light years better than that old pig sty. I can't wait to see if they've conme up with a better idea as how to park all the rollaboards rather than the corral-type pandemonium we've all put up with do date.

The fact that so many come here to company bash is probably a good thing. If this many (compared to the other carriers) find it necessary to vent, it's probably allowing that frustration to NOT be taken out on the customers as mugh as it otherwise might.

I thought it looked great. Nice and roomy, wide open space with plenty of shelves to put flight kits and luggage. Break area was bright and spacious with a nice view of the ramp and runways. Pleanty of computers and they all seemed to work but only a couple of vending machines, that should change. I hope the ATM moves also. Looked like about a dozen lounge chairs to take a relaxing RON nap in and seperated from the main part of the room for noise reduction.

Chief Pilots office will be up and running there soon and the Int'l Chief Pilot relocated to Int'l crew room.

Only complaint I had was the men's room was inop and that can be fixed too. The only other complaint I heard from anyone was about the distance from all the other gates. We can't have everything!

The real plus side is the elevator. No more dragging your bags up and down a flight of stairs.

So, I'll just say I think the company did alright by us and improved our work enviornment. Now lets improve all the other issues that are out there.

The crewroom looked very bright and spacious.

I was surprised to see the old dot matrix printers still there, for some reason I thought they would get new printers.

It is a large space is divided up into areas like eating, sitting, computer, quiet, office, training rooms, baggage, etc.

It doesn't smell. LOL

The temperature was not hot nor cold, but comfortable.

There seemed to be a guard at the end of the hall to keep you from going past the quiet room, not sure what that was about. Maybe that area is not done?

Huge improvement over the old crewroom. I did not spend a lot of time there it was too bright and too crowded.

we went from a dirty dumpster crew room with broken chairs to an insane asylum. Bellevue hospital in ny has more color on the walls and where are the stirrups? put some color on those walls and pictures!
