I sure do remember. I thought she was joking. Then my immediate reaction was to step back and shreek. Hey this was back in the day and weren't sure if she was trying to plant a chip in my head or something. What she SHOULD have been more concerned about was that teased out tumble weed hair and those chopped up heels. Ohhhhhh. So anyway at least we have a crew room now in PHL that you don't have to prop the door open use that giant fan the size of a dash 8 propeller. Oh the smell of Jet-A fuel while doing your bids.

Nothwithstanding the Sept 2008 "About Us" that BB posted ("Crews in PHL will be able to catch some zzz’s, check their email and even watch a football game in their downtime when the PHL Crew Room is completed later this year,") I'm not sure that company paid TVs are even in the plan.

That quote says nothing about the company PROVIDING the means to catch that football game. You wanna see the game? Watch it on your dang iPhone! Of course, you are welcome to sit in our sterile crew room to do it.

Well what does it say when your told that the paint on the walls is on the way? Ya didn't have enough time to do it while the city played around with allowing occupancy? C'mon. I'm quite happy to have a new crew facility but there should be painted walls and at least a television. How about when that wrote that crews would be able to check their emails. I guess I'm to do that on my iphone as well while sitting in our sterile crew room? The company I guess doesn't have an obligation to supply any televisions or wifi so it is what it is. No doubt.

Since anyone could watch TV on their personal device before the new crew room opened, linking TV watching with the new crewroom sure sounds like they planned on there being a TV in there to me. Unfortunately, the hub doesn't archive old enough info to get the announcement that there would be a new crewroom in PHL.

Given the company's novel approach to interpreting ANY agreement with ANYBODY (especially employees,) what "sounds" to you like a promise is subject to interpretation to the company's advantage. Only a company shill would be out there thinking and saying anything else.

You asked for a source for the info that internet access and TV would be provided in the new crewroom and I just provided the best source I could find. If that makes me any kind of shill in your eyes, maybe you need new glasses.

In CLT, the employees pitched in and purchased TVs for the respective lounges. The company provides CATV for them, though.

The new crew room looks great! It's just a matter of time before it looks crappy! Our employees never take care of anything nice. Then they crumble when it looks bad! I do like the blue recliners. Just that they had to be bolted down speaks volumes.

I'm not so sure if they bolted the recliners down due to theft or because of those f/a's that like to build their fort playing "Design On A Dime" with crew room furniture.

Are they still allowing overnight slumber parties in the new digs? I always enjoyed walking in for 5am OPR and being hit in the kisser with "morning breath..."

Ya know Itestwell I really don't know. What happened to those folks that would "hang around" the crew room day and night? You would see everything from hair up in curlers to well shall we say frightening.
