NM can yank US Airways' liquor license

Seems pretty silly to prevent selling or consuming alcohol on a flight that isn't even taking off or landing in the state. I can see them saying US can't serve alcohol on flights originating or arriving in NM, but just passing through? Someone is trying to make a name for themselves and move further up the political food chain in NM.

Ok so your working a flight that gets rerouted due to weather which in turn takes you over NM, are you to go through the cabin and confiscate all alcoholic drinks? Can't serve into or out of NM? Ok no problem but saying US can't serve alcohol 35,000 feet above the state is just well ummmmmmm OK. 🙄

That's the question and problem, although I would not think you need to confiscate as long as you don't "serve" over New Mexico.
