NMB dismisses interference claim for DL ramp

What's the over/under on a card drive starting?

Didn't ramp just have an election not long ago. If so, there's a 2 year wait before another election can be held. Since cards are only valid for a year, it's too early to start another card drive.

The bar on a new election is only a one year time frame, not two.

Jim--

That election is what we're talking about here. It was held in the fall of '10. The IAM alleged that DL engaged in carrier Interference. This determination/dismissal is the result of that investigation.

I believe that the time frame is still only one year...

Close enough that it might pass on the next try if DL screws up:

5571 no
5022 yes

Per the NMB link provided by Kev....

As E notes below, very close among those that actually participated.

The demographics have changed quite a bit over the last year w/ early outs & retirements, so I'm not sure how a new election would play out. In my end-of-the-line station alone, we lost 3 "yes" guys, and 1 "no."

That said, there is a real undercurrent of discontent amongst 120 employees, with a lot of people feeling like the company has over promised and under delivered. Up 'til now, they've been able to use the default excuse of being hamstrung by laboratory conditions. That's off the table now, so it's up to them to prove that the direct relationship is the better way to go.

Thanks Kev...you are right on the money about how Delta has to treat you from now on. Let's hope it hold up to your standards

That'll never happen. Some people live in a perpetual state of gloom and doom no matter how sunny it is. Complaining is easy. Change is hard for some.

Some advice if you are that unhappy: http://walmartstores.com/careers/

personally I couldn't be happier! iam out of the airline business is win-win, For employees and corporations. They may not be completely out, but the iams' days are numbered and their influence is minimal at best.

Thanks, Kev. I hadn't kept up with any of the election dates. My error on the time limit too - I was thinking of the wait after a CBA is certified as a result of an election.

Looks like another denial about interference at Delta. This time with the reservations and gate agents
